Just listening to a radio show where they said Utah has retired Horny's jersey. Is that some serious shit?

Dude didn't average more than 16 points a game per season. Why the hell didn't I, Ripcityboy, become beholden to the people of Salt Lake City?! Oh that's right I'm a fugly half-german spazoid.

He was part of the Jazz' big 3 and played against one of the greatest of alltime twice in the finals...Jerry Sloan is back in the front office...Horny will land on his feet there.

Didn't take too long for Earl Watson to get his first HC job.......even if it is as the interim coach

Dragic is CTC and Stotts is a much better coach than hornacek.

Good for Earl Watson!

@HCP bet me $100 that Earl Watson wouldn't be a head coach this season. I win! Pay me!

We should make a list of ex-Blazers who are now (or have recently been) coaches.
Steve Kerr, Johnny Davis, Terry Porter, Lionel Hollins... (Rasheed was an assistant coach, too.)

Who's next? Andre Miller probably could if he wanted, but he'd rather not have to talk to people, probably.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Roy coach one day. Steve Blake too if he doesn't become a preacher or something. Dark horse could be Pryzbilla one day.

Haha what makes you think Blake would be a preacher? I doubt the guy even goes to church.

Rick Adelman

Bill Walton.

Is there a list somewhere of all white former Blazer players?

I want guys like Roy, Dre and Blake to become NBA refs when they retire....not enough former players become refs and god knows, we need new refs in the league

Lot of miles on those legs though. After running up and down a court your whole life why continue?

It's not the same grind as playing..Blake and Dre can run fine...you really think Joey Crawford has lasted this long because he's so athletic? Roy is questionable but he might stay in the game at that level.

It's not that they can't, it's just that they've run up and down hardwood their whole life, I know I'd want to relax for a long time (spend time with family, refs travel just a ton). Also, idk if players can really be objective as refs. Always grudges.

Dribblemire.

Please share some of that terrific mind bending substance you have, I need some! ;)

I think alot of us here can see we are developing and players are improving and the system is flowing much better overall than in the first month of the season. Yes, some can be attributed to players getting more consistent playing time and learning he system, so its natural to assume they would improve off of that alone, but isnt it a coaches job to steer that progression that best suits the team playing style?

What I see is some people think Stotts is a bad coach because he doesnt play Leonard inside more. Stotts is a bad coach because he plays CJ and Dame together and then there is no D. Stotts is a bad coach because the teams isnt good enough on D.

Stotts sucks because we dont run more post plays. Stotts sucks because he allows CJ and Dame to shoot all the time...

Man... There is a reason Stotts is head coach and your not.. know one here is... Because he is better at assessing players strengths vs weaknesses and better at game planning.

If you think you can do a better job, then quit yours and submit a resume....

The complaints above are hollow. Maybe Stotts has them playing the way they are because that's what is best fitting the team? Doesnt our record pretty much admit to as much? Doesnt our cohesive improvement equate to as much?

PLay Leonard in the post more and watch the teams bigs suck up the paint anytime Dame or CJ want to drive to the hole. Wont work in this offense. Leonard is best being a less of a fator but being a dagger at the top of the key.

Run more plays for Plumleee? Why? SO he can get fouled and shoot 60%? He is being utilized to maximize his strengths. I see this happening for the bulk of the players and that is attributed to good coaching. YOu know what IVe also seen? Aminu isnt driving uncontrollably the length of the court anymore... Good coaching.

Come on man. The Stotts hate is invalid at this point. Stats, facts and the eye test all are in favor of Stotts doing a damn fine job overall at this point.

The end results look good for him. This team was crap before he came here. They were sucking under McMillen, and Nate had a year with Damian, LA, Matthews and Batum.

We're an upper tier offense with many players who are limited offensively. I still think we should be better defensively though.

Nate never had Damian.
