The Timberwolves will work out free-agent forward Joe Alexander this week, according to Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune.

Zgoda asks the question: "but even if they like him, where's he gonna play?"

Minnesota has a ton of forwards including: Michael Beasley, Corey Brewer, Lazar Hayward, Wesley Johnson, Kevin Love, Darko Milicic, Anthony Tolliver and Martell Webster.

I do find it interesting how he seems to be infatuated with collecting lottery busts.

I'd take a hard look at Joe Alexander in the Shavlik Randolph role. Guy's supremely athletic and "teachable"...it's not his fault some clown team chose him 6th.

Scott Skiles can coach ... he couldn't find a use for this guy because he's all athlete and no court sense. Think young Travis Outlaw with less skill.

He's throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks. He's going to find a diamond in the rough this way - a Chauncey Billips. Great strategy in their situation. Little downside (they are already down) lots of upside potential.

I would trade Rudy for Marty right now!

In simpler terms, he doesn't know WTF he's doing.

Another head-scratcher: he signed Anthony Tolliver for 2 years/4.8m. Not even close to horrible, but who was he bidding against? Tolliver is a D-League scrub and I bet he will have to give up an asset just to get rid of him next summer.

Poor Martell....subjected to the wrath of Kahn.

Well look on the bright side, there's no chance in hell Martell is going to lose minutes to Jumpin' Joe Alexander ... I think?
