How much would it be to be a Cavs right now with all rumors swirling?...I remember when it used to be like that around here! :)

Man... if the Cavs get LeBron AND Love, that's going to be a really good team, and still very young.

Irving/??
Waiters/??
LeBron/Bennett?
Love/Thompson
Varejao/??

They'd have a really good core, but their bench would suck.

Is it that much better than what he'd have in Miami? One ing he gets in Miami is team mates he's already won with...going to be interesting week what he does. I think it makes the most sense to stay in Miami and that's what he will do.

Klove to cle is good for the league regardless of where lebron goes.

Which could be why he was recruiting Miller and Jones.

Hope he goes back

Much better than Miami long term.

Irving > Wade
Love > Bosh

Wade is pretty much a shadow of himself, and it's only going to get worse. Irving is just starting to realize his talent. He's still insanely young. Love is also very young. He'll be 26 in September.

Personally I think LeBron gets way too much press on every sports site in the universe so I could care less where he goes in the east. Like to see these type threads get merged with around the NBA or FA threads but not a headline thread on the Blazers forum. Just my 2 cents. The guy hasn't shown a lot of fan loyalty so far in his career.

Im sorry. You are the greatest player in the league and I panicked when you left.

Should take care of that

And how dumb would you have to be to believe someone that hot headed?

By taking his money.

I knew someone would say that... LeBron is getting max money wherever he goes. That's of no consequence to the question of how he can play for someone who lambasted him like Gilbert did.

If LeBron ends up a Cav, I think it's with an ownership stake. (Is that even possible?)

Mam, if he decides to go back to the Heat, the Cavs are going to be screwed....again.

I think the reason why it's so important is because he has to be the first domino to fall. So many teams and players are waiting for him to decide what he's going to do. If he leaves Miami, so does Bosh, and then Melo might sign somewhere else. As soon as he makes a decision, I think there will be a flurry of moves in reaction to whatever he decides to do.

Wow, I couldn't disagree more. Wade is an all-time great perimeter defender, and Bosh is pretty damn good on D. Irving and Love are among the worst defenders in the league. And Irving/Love aren't any better on offense than Wade/Bosh in their primes, which you only have to go back a year or two for. With both Irving and Love having regular injury issues, I wouldn't go too far out on a limb saying they're a safer bet than Wade's fading production due to health.

I will say as far as champions go Irving is one, just like dame. I'd take Irving or Lillard over curry any day of the week, all equally skilled but curry just doesn't seem like a winner to me...

Expecting Lebron's decision in under half an hour... At this point I'll be mildly surprised if it's not Cleveland.

What does wades prime have to do with it? Irving and love are entering there primes now. Wade looks to be leaving his.
That said, absolutely right on injury issues. Irving love and varejao all have a history.

Have you watched the Heat recently? Wade has already faded significantly. He averaged 15 ppg in the finals.

Word is his mind is already made up going into the meeting. No negotiating will be occurring just informing of decision.

Nothing to negotiate, since there's a max salary. Either he wants to be there or he doesn't. Any other issues, like their plan going forward, has surely already been communicated to him.

Parsons 3/45 to Dallas. Knew he would be up there. No way Houston matches if they sign bosh

I don't know that there's "no way" they match. Houston hasn't been a luxury tax payer to this point, so they can afford to go into the luxury tax for three seasons or so before it becomes super-punitive (I think). This is the kind of end-game they've been pursuing for years, so I don't think an extra few million per year is guaranteed to make them not match.

definitely thought parsons was in on all of this with morey but i guess not, and fucking a, they could have just kept him for less than a million bucks.

The Rockets will only have 3 days to match after this becomes official tomorrow. Puts them in a time vise to get things done with Bosh.
