Thank god none of them "pauled" and took out a shoulder.

I would say, given our history with injuries to cornerstones of our franchise, it is never a good thing to joke about injuries.

I'd rather beat a healthy Lebron instead of injuring him to beat him. If you did that, did you really win? Very Bush League.

I don't care about winning. To Ariza LeBron is its own reward.

Is it possible this could shame him enough to get him to stop?

Maybe the league will be shamed into enforcing its policy about issuing fines and suspensions for flops against one of its star players?

Wow, I never knew he pulled this crap.
There's an even worse one than these from the playoffs I think last year. I wouldn't know how to find it though. Youtube I suppose. That one where he hits the guy with his forearm then flops should have been a foul on Lebron and a tech for unsportsmanlike. But the NBA doesn't roll like that, apparently.

Damn, for a guy who says he's a Baskeball nut and plays the game with a ton of respect (not word for word, but a general gist), he sure does make a mockery of it.

It's a really bad look when he does it against opposing point guards. Especially for a guy who is so freaking big

I guess I don't see a problem. He's hit in nearly every one of those gifs.

That first one against dallas where he "gets hit" and travels... he wasn't touched there. There were some where he really did get hit, but also some where he got tapped and he fell over. There's also one where he got hit in the leg and he shot his head back... so... yeah. He may have gotten hit, but it wasn't where he accentuated the hit.

I guess I don't have a problem with it. James gets hit plenty of times where it isn't called. There are much worse floppers out there.

Did you see him wink after a couple of the blatant flops?

LOL that's awesome! Time for LeBron to start acting like the best player on the planet, and not like a little bitch. He gets enough calls without the ridiculous flopping anyway. Has LeBron been fined for flopping yet?

As of June 14, 2013, eight players had been fined for flopping during the playoffs: Pacers' Jeff Pendergraph, Thunder's Derek Fisher, Knicks' J. R. Smith, Grizzlies' Tony Allen, Heat's LeBron James and Chris Bosh, Pacers' David West and Lance Stephenson. (wiki)

After hits like that he should have to sit out until passing the league's post-concussion testing process. Player safety is of utmost importance.

This is the NBA's definition, not mine
“Flopping” is defined as any physical act that appears to have been intended to cause the referees to call a foul on another player.

It doesn't say anything about whether the player is actually fouled, ( though I don't really see him getting fouled in most of those clips ). Given that definition, I believe in every one of those gifs he is guilty of flopping.

I played a lot of pickup basketball in my days, but I don't ever recall anyone doing anything like what Lebron (and many other) players do. You couldn't do it because 1) you wouldn't get away with it because you call you own games 2) someone would probably kick your ass and 3) you couldn't respect yourself doing shit like that.

Admittedly I am old now, and my flash to bang time doesn't keep up with high school kids who seem to move at light speed compared to me so I don't play a lot of games (though I shoot 3-4 times a week), but does anything like that go on these days in pick up games?

No, not that I have seen and basically for the same reasons you outlined.

Flopping is what it is now, which is why I just flat out don't care and have just accepted it as part of the game. It is a way to deceive the official into a foul. It is the same way as a player yelling around the rim to make it seem he got hit, or a pump fake from the 3 point arc only to leap into the defender and just throw the ball in the air for free throws. Those "tricks" share the same objective and I don't see those going away anytime soon as most fans have accepted it.

Don't let LeBron's "flopping" take away from his greatness, everyone has been guilty in the league in attempting to deceive an official.

The video is funny as hell though!

Flopping is cheating in my opinion and I think less of LeBron now.

People.can say what they want about sheed but one thing I always liked about him is he played for real.

I also liked that about Sheed.
He used his oratory skills to call out and embarrass floppers on the court.
