OT: LeBronze is an attention whore

Bosh was always speculated to go to Miami first, because of the location and cap space.

Yeah, but it was widely speculated that Bosh and Wade were waiting on LeBron. Now it seems like they're either signaling that LeBron is staying in Cleveland, OR they got impatient.

I'm pretty sure LeBron knew ahead of time Wade & Bosh were teaming up in Miami. These guys had their summit meeting and I'm sure they've communicated throughout the process. LeBron was going to have at least an hour long media session when he announced his decision anyways so who cares if his 'Team' approached ESPN or not. At least the money is going to charity you can't fault him for it.

Can and will!

I don't get how the ad money going to charity is to LeBron's credit. Wouldn't ESPN ordinarily make money off of ads?

It doesn't make sense. What does ESPN get out of this? Lots of viewers, but zero revenue, and King James gets the credit?

Maybe they're hoping that you stick around and watch Sportscenter afterwards?

Not to bore everyone with anecdotes, but in discussing this with my wife this morning she said she'd be "very interested" in watching the special. For the casual fan, you get to see a lot more of a player you hear about a lot, coupled with casual interest in where he goes to play.

Maybe he'll announce his retirement from basketball so he can pursue a career in minor league baseball?

Jim Gray is doing an interview with him. Nice.

This is fucking ridiculous. I swear, LeBron is such a douche. And a coward. Scared to take the last shot......

Wasn't Jim Grey banned from Baseball for that? Not formally banned, but I don't think any baseball player will ever grant him an interview again. I hate that guy.

I hate Jared Dudley. He's gotta be the most annoying player in the NBA to me.

About James: I couldn't care less. I doubt I'll watch it, but in an age where JARED DUDLEY is Tweeting (and people actually give a shit) why shouldn't the biggest athlete in American team sports this millennium take an hour to announce it?

Ed O.

No he isn't an attention Whore. A whore will fuck anybody for any reason. He is an attention prostitute. He will only fuck those who pay him properly.

I beg to differ. Whore and prostitute are synonymous--both require compensation. A slut, however, is indiscriminant.
