I just hope some desperate, idiot GM doesn't offer them a sign and trade for Howard. I'd really like to see them get nothing for him, or get saddled with a max contract for the next five years or declining performance.

Can luxury teams participate in sign and trades? I know they were supposed to have restrictions on those trades in the new CBA I thought maybe it began in year 3. That would be next offseason in which case the Lakers wouldn't be able to do any type of sign and trade with Howard.... Well unless they amnesty Kobe or Pau.
