Get ready for a certain "card" to be played...

he will get picked up by another team or return to the rams practice squad

a minimum of $6300 a week, or $107,100 for the full 17 week season. if he gets called up he gets a weekly rate of 1/17 of 420k or around 25k a week

nice work if you can get it

well logically, he was in the top 58, so he is likely one Dline injury away from a call up

but im going to guess he gets nabbed off waivers by the cowboys

...doesn't exactly say much for the Rams' ability to evaluate things.

...and I doubt he and his partner celebrate being cut like they did when he was drafted.

dude played pretty well in the preseason, the rams are freaking stacked at DE though...guess we will see

...stacked or no, if he was good enough, he would not have been cut and the Rams would have found room for him.

...can't wait for the pundits, spin doctors, and gay rights people to weigh in on this. Should be entertaining. But his sexual preference only became an issue because he chose to make it one.

I've heard quite a few people say (before he was released) that if he was, the Giants should pick him up... but the media circus now in St. Louis... imagine it in NY

he is probably a fringe player at this point, if he develops into more remains to be seen i suppose. typical late round pick.

I agree, just think the "card" will be played as he already played it for the reason he was drafted so late...

well, i think that it is legitimate in a way, im sure there were teams that were scared off of him

...I think he made a mistake in his timing of his "announcement". It should never have been an issue in the first place...but like I said, he decided to make it one.

I don't think they were scared of him at all... just wanted NOTHING to do with the media circus that followed... and 59, I agree completely... should have never been made public... Can you play or not? I don't need to know who you choose to be with, man/woman, celebrity or not... we don't need to know and it shouldn't have an impact on anything.... but it did because he chose to announce his choice in lifestyle...

He will be on an NFL team this year, he is a pretty one dimensional pass rusher but I can think of 3 teams that need someone like right now. He was also drafted in the 7th round and the rams had 5 picks between the 6th round in the 7th round and not one of them made the team. The NFL is full of players that are cut from a team, or undrafted, that go onto to be play on other teams. Personally I hope the Cowboys pick him up.

It will be interesting to see how this gets played out. I wonder if anyone told him to call Sharpton.

tough break he played well for a team with a lot of talent on the line. he will be on a roster somewhere.

strange how fearful you are of the opposite race.

Strange how fearful you are of showing up & looking stupid on the topic of baseball.

Come on Rick...he never said anything deserving of your response. Topic is Michael Sam, not baseball

Don't feed the trolls

Please get back on topic, the poster was not trolling.

Well being cut and trying to make it somewhere else, moving away from his lover...makes for a more compelling reality show on OWL.

Thankfully this ends all Jackie Robinson equating....not like 42 chose to be black. ;)

NTM- Practice Players ARE always short term, just ask Kliff Kingsbury.....set passing records at Texas Tech....was a practice player for The Patsies....!

He can always go play golf with Obama....

You mean a Hole in One by 2 Golf-er's......?

2some, 4some whatever. First opening gay football player and first openly gay president....neither are working full time now anyway.
