Probably. No publicity is bad publicity.
BTW, love the new pic!

Haha my coach wouldn't be the one to care..Uh, Bones....? Your coach is in Pasco. I suspect he is a bright guy, but do you really expect him to know who Canzano is? Or even care.....?? Just don't piss off the sports columnist for the Pasco Bugle....or whatever it might be called....
BTW, love the new pic!
There's hope for Canzano!

So you're saying the only thing destroyed is the title of this thread?
But he reposted it while stripping the original attribution. Twitter *is* his personal website. That's where he lives. It just seems like a use of his power that didn't have to be that way.
So that would mean instagram would be his personal website, facebook, etc.
Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are impersonal in way more ways than it's personal. We are putting out there things about our lives. And unless otherwise noted, nothing is for sale. This picture wasn't for sale. Now, I do believe credit was warranted. However, I'm sure Dame isn't the first one to just retweet a picture of someone elses work. And he won't be the last, celebrity or otherwise.
Forrest gump was a smart man, he said "shit happens."
And a smart response to a "hey, how bout some attribution" is "you're right. Sorry." Not "lol stfu"

BC is an English Professor.... so he's used to slamming on people for not properly citing their sources.
lol stfu

I am very good friends with a couple of photojournalists, and work in and around licensed art all the time. It's just part of my normal life, I guess.
Lack of reacharound? We're all pretty smart and creative, I bet we can come up with a reason for Blake Griffin to punch Canzano.
I'd change it if I could. Would that make you feel better?

Yeah, but those are professionals... this wasn't a professionally credited photo, was it? I guess I'm still not 100% certain about what happened.
Shouldn't this be a part of the Official Random Picture Thread?
It doesn't matter if he's a pro or not. The little guy should be protected by copyright just as much as the big guy.
What happened:
1 - Dude takes a photo of Dame hugging Kobe in the hallways under Moda Center when Kobe signed a jersey for Dame.
2 - Dude posts the photo to twitter.
3 - Dame takes the photo out of Dude's post about his photo, and reposts the photo.
4 - Dame didn't tell anyone where the photo is from.
5 - Dude snarks that Dame shoulda changed the color or contrast or put an Instagram filter on it if he was gonna pretend the photo was his.
6 - Canzano claims that Dame is a monster.
Do we know it was Dame, or possibly a handler of his account?
If it was a handler they would have known to attribute and been polite.Good question.
