OT: NBA bans performance enhancing shoes?

Considering those shoes were pretty much shown to be bogus, I don't see what the deal is.

Either the shoes work and they'd be bad for the NBA or they are false advertising. Either way it makes sense for the NBA to ban them.

In a way, the NBA banning them is good for the company who makes them. It makes it seem like they actually work.... which they definitely don't.
 
To make things fair, all players should have to wear Chuck Taylor All-Stars. This would end any and all performance-enhancing shoe theories.

But it would also shorten some careers in the process... Chucks have zero cushion or stability.
