Re: OT: Jason Kidd has chutzpah

He's headed for a similar end that Mark Jackson had. Doesn't get along with front office execs, fires assistant coaches and will probably beat his wife and wreck his car again. I predict he'll be out of the coaching biz before all is said and done.

Re: OT: Jason Kidd has chutzpah

George Karl said to be very interested in the Nyets head coaching position.

Hasnt Karl been very intrested in every open head coaching job?

Re: OT: Jason Kidd has chutzpah

Nothing wrong with having a huge ego as a player, but I am not so sure it works as well for coaches. He just seems like a dick. Didn't he used to hit his wife? Can't recall the circumstances.

Apparently the Nets are hoping to receive a first round draft pick from the Bucks.

Well If he's worth a 1st, he's probably worth making him the Vice President of Player Personal don't ya think?

Nonethess, Kidd is an ego maniac and his head is running out of control. In no way do I believe he should have been made head coach (I feel this way about Fisher aswell) when he was made coach nor do I feel they should make him the GM with the snap of his finger. He acts like he is entitled just about everything.

I think the Nets are dreaming if they think they'll actually receive a first round draft pick.

If he's not valuable enough to keep around and to give into his demands, I don't know why they think he's worth a 1st.

They make actually receive some compensation from the Bucks even if it's just a second round draft pick.

Billy King, Nets GM, put together an old team that had to win big now. Hired rookie coach, who needs years to learn. Banished Lawrence Frank, asst. coach, in a personality clash with Kidd. Kidd leaves, so Frank will take over, right, to earn his 5-year contract @ $1 mill per year (biggest of all time for an asst. coach)? King says no.

Billy King.

What makes you think they think he's worth that? They are hoping to get a 1st, doesn't mean they wouldn't pay to get rid of him.

Heard it's for a second rounder. I knew Kidd was going to be out in a year... now he'll go into obscurity where he should have been to begin with.

So the Nets were able to get a second rounder.

Why aren't the Bucks just wait for him to get fired or resign? Surely he won't be back either way after what he did?

That's too bad for the Bucks. I was hoping they were going to build on Jabari Parker and become relevant again.

Kidd is going to set that process back several years.

Neither one of those owners the Russian and the rookie owner in Milwaukee act like they know what they are doing.

He's made a lot of mistakes and he' not perfect but glad Paul Allen is the owner of this team and not making the same kind of bone headed moves.

Yeah, PA made some mistakes early on. He is practicing patience a bit more these days.

When did Allen do what the new Bucks owner did? Without telling his GM or coach that their jobs were in question, he invited Kidd to take their jobs.

No comparison to Allen. Paul always worked through lines of authority on the organization chart. His GM ran things.

I never said Allen did what the Bucks owner did. However, he did sign off trading Drexler (my favorite player at the time) to the Rockets. That irked me some at the time.

His inexperience came through in 94 when he hired a college coach PJ Carlesimo when he probably didn't have any business being hired before having his General Manager hired in Bob Whitsitt who I have to believe wouldn't have endorsed such a move.

Yes, Paul Allen has made some boneheaded moves.

PJ! Ugh! I think he was the only coach Portland had that infuriated me as bad as Nate. Both low points for sure.

Okay. One. I didn't think Carlesimo was awful, just mediocre and undeserving of the job. He went on to be head coach of two more NBA teams, so he wasn't godawful, just ordinary.
