Re: tyson chandler trade rescinded

Trading Peja and CP3 to us is now their only hope to cut costs.

I hope.

Hmm... Chandler must be more hurt than people thought.

Interesting and, while injuries are kinda brutal, this is good news for Portland if NO doesn't have Chandler OR either of the guys that they woulda got for him.

No worries... I was about to start a thread, too, when I heard it on the broadcast :)

This could make things more interesting tomorrow.

Thunder Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti announced in a press release on Wednesday evening that the team has rescinded its trade with the Hornets for Chandler.

“We were pleased to add Tyson to the Thunder roster,” said Presti. “During the course of the physical examination and outside consultations some questions arose that gave us cause for concern. We felt that this course of action was the best for our organization.”

I'd love to know what their doctors found. BTW, who would be OKC's physician, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman?

Yeah, it must be serious. I would think that if it were just a normal ankle injury or something that he is good enough that they would just wait for him to come back.

Or, maybe they got another offer afterwards that was better, and are using the injury as an excuse to back out and take the other offer.

If so, it better be really good, he's a good player.

I just thought of something, could he have told them he refuses to play in Oklahoma City? He was on the team when the Hornets had to play there for part of the time, right? Did he ever come out and say never again?

But with a big contract to match. Everyone wants a good player with a small contract.

Or, possibly it was a head injury rather than an ankle injury. That is, he made it clear he didn't want to play in OKC.

Looks like we had the same idea at the same time. Bet that's it. Both of us couldn't be wrong :)

God watches over babes and fools.

neither fools nor crazies should themselves be allowed to decide that, I demand a poll.

Ask and you shall recieve. I'd normally be fine with putting something about the posters here in the main forum, but I put it in the OT Forum so as to not take away from the trade deadline.
