OT: Pistons hire Sheed!

...I love this hire, for so many different reasons -- Pistons have been my favorite "East Coast" team ever since the they traded for him in 2004, but this move takes the cake! Will he have the same demeanor? Will he do as much trash talking? Will the refs 'T' him up for starring? Will he throw towels in his player's faces? Will he still be allowed to organize and lead the pre-game player circle rally? Will he scream "BALL DON'T LIE!" after opponent's missed free throws?

I think sheed will become a great coach one day. Perfect place too because most likely mo gets fired!

Wow. When I saw the headline "Wallace hired as asst. coach" on ESPN.com, I assumed it was Ben Wallace.
One of the biggest knuckleheads in league history hired as an asst coach. My perception of him must be wrong ????

...most definitely. He was always known to have one of the highest basketball IQs in the entire league throughout his career. They had always said that he could play all 5 positions because he understood how each one of them was supposed to be played.

Wallace also had a notorious reputation for being one of the most volatile and temperamental players in the league. He routinely led the league in technical fouls and finished with 317 for his career. Moments before his coaching debut Monday, Wallace said he was ready for a change of pace and joked he would remain calm in his new job.

"I'm not expending the energy out there, running back and forth, [telling referees], 'I'm out here busting my [tail] and you're not giving me a call,'" Wallace said about keeping his emotions in check as an assistant coach. "Being over there on the sideline, you try to be more of a motivational inspiration for the kids."

When he was with Portland the other players had good things to say about him. I don't know how much he knows the game with respect to coaching but apparently someone does.

Go down a few lines. Coach Sheed yells more loudly than anyone in the gym--at his Piston players, the opponents, and the referee. He even draws up plays in the timeout.
