OT: Point guards ranked by PER

I'm not sure that's how it works. McMillan purportedly cares about defense and has generally played Sergio ahead of Bayless. Bayless has issues on defense currently, but he's a markedly better defender than Sergio, IMO. Many coaches place a high premium on seniority with point guards.

Except McMillan a week or tow back said that despite Sergio being a crappy defender and Bayless a hardworking defender, that Serigio knows the team defense and Bayless doesn't and Bayless make a lot of mistakes. So, there you have it.

No he hasn't - EVER. Not even close. He turns the ball over too damn much to ever come close to the "top" in A/TO. He's currently 49th in the league at 2.41 A/TO. Blake is 9th at 3.40 and Roy is 27th at 2.67.

BNM

Yeah, he has. His Rookie year

2006-2007 = 2.83 Best of any Blazer, 25th in the league, (6th in league for assists per 48min with 12.1)

2007-2008 = 2.32 slid due to only playing spot minutes (8.7), (tied for 14th in league assists per 48min with 9.4)

2008-2009 = 2.41 49th in a league of 450 players, (10th in league for assists per 48min with 10.6, Blake at 39th with 7.7, Roy at 65th with 6.5)

Ironically, both Roy and Blake improved their A/TO Ratio this year by getting fewer assists than last year, rather than improving their ballhandling. They simply made fewer attempts at helping their team, and it helped their statistical bottom line. Sergio improved at both stats this year over last.
