That is just as reasonable as me watching the news and guessing that cops chasing a stolen escalade are chasing a black guy. Or that a guy arrested for molesting 30 kids is a white guy. Or if they show video of a car jumping a curb and driving through the front of a 7-11, you can usually count on an elderly driver.

What's NOT cool is to penalize/punish people based on their race. That's where the line must be drawn, but you can't force people to change their opinions. They didn't form over night and they won't go away over night. Black people are good at basketball. Asians are good at math. White people can't dance. These are racist opinions that are shared by millions of people. Which of those three would cause an outrage though if they were said on Twitter?

We all need to be real. I am getting more in depth with my Mexican buddies at work. They tell me stuff none of them would say to most white people because we have brutally honest discussions. I have gained a lot of respect for them lately. We joke around a lot and all of them have a great sense of humor. Which is more than I can say for the rich old white people I live by.

If you can't be honest and admit to yourself that a lot of NBA players wouldn't have gone to college if not for hoops, or that their childhood friends were gang members or just hoodlums due to their ghetto upbringing you are being dishonest. The thing is, there's a difference between having an outward hatred for another race, and believing some racist stereotypes. Sometimes we believe something without even knowing it. There's been plenty of jokes about a black guy walking onto a basketball court with a bunch of white guys and everyone automatically thinking he's going to be good. That's racism, but it's not necessarily harmful. It's just something we've been conditioned to. I worked in an office and something like 80% of the accounting team was Asian. Would it be racist to believe that Asians are good at math? They obviously can't ALL be good at math, right?

I see a difference between someone thinking "lol black people like chicken" and someone yelling out "fucking ******!" at a Black person. The real problem is people who are raised to hate. It's that simple. Doesn't matter if it's a hatred for black people, a hatred for gay people, or just hatred in general. Don't raise your children to hate and the world will be a better place. We're always going to judge people based on how they look. That is never going to change. The guy with all the tattoos is going to have a harder time getting a job than the clean-cut kid. It's not just the color of your skin, but the way you dress, the way you wear your hair, and what kind of car you drive. We judge people. Our brain wants to put people into categories. There are plenty of white people who only have one or two generations in the United States.
