OT rumor Lebron/Bosh leaning bulls

It's a dick move by James if you ask me. To people in Cleveland, the Bulls are what the L*kers are to us--the glamour franchise that **** us time and time again. Could you imagine Brandon or Clyde in the prime of their career going to the Purple & Piss?

Bosh is just ring shopping because he knows he can't win one by himself.

That team will be crazy good. I still think Phil Jackson might go back to Chicago.

Nobody can win one by themselves. You seriously can't be upset at Bosh for wanting to go wherever James goes.

And Wade/STAT will team up in MIA, tell me something new. The real surprises will be where Boozer, Gay, and JJ go.

I'm not upset at all. It's just that Bosh is going somewhere to be a number two. I think that says a lot about Chris Bosh's confidence in his game.

Well how many players are above LBJ? It is a unique situation, kinda like a comet.

Sure, I get it. But to more or less announce you're following another player is pretty sad.

I hope this is true, otherwise the Bulls might be looking at Joe Johnson and David Lee.

The cap figures are all over the place. David Aldridge says they have the space to sign a MAX FA and 98% of another, worst case, but he thinks they have enough space (by his numbers) to sign the two.

I'm not at all surprised that two of the top FAs might decide to see if they can sign with the same team. They know each other well enough and want to play together.

Trading away Hinrich so the Bulls can sign Bosh is interesting. The Bulls had Rose and Hinrich at guard, now they have Rose and some D-League type player (or vet minimum type signee). Can LeBron play SG?

Rose, scrub
Noah, Bosh?
LeBron, Bosh

Bench: Deng, Gibson, Johnson.

If LeBron plays SG, Deng fits nicely in the starting lineup, but the bench is shit.

With that team the bench doesn't matter. The refs will give superstar calls to three people in the starting lineup. They can play 40+ minutes per night and never worry about fouling out while going 75-7.

There's no way those guys play 40+ minutes every night. The risk of injury alone is reason to not overplay them. On the Bulls' 72 win team, Jordan played < 38 minutes, Pippen < 37. Rodman was the only other guy over 30 (32).

The 2008 Celtics (champs) played Pierce 36, Garnett 33, Allen 36, Rondo 30.

Last season, Deng led the Bulls at 38 minutes, and Rose played 37.

Sweet, so is the NBA even going to be worth watching from a Trail Blazer fan standpoint. No way we contend with the Lakers, Bulls if they sign these two, and possibly Miami, though, minus Wade and whoever there team is weak. Wish we could trade for someone proven.

I don't think LBJ or Bosh would want to 'cheapen' their rings by going to the Bulls. This sounds more like an agent using PR to spin the media.

Though, if the unlikely occurred and a mass of superstar free agents sign together, I could see a cataclysmic shift towards more and more teams acquiring elite NBA players (sort of like NY signing Randolph after Boston acquired KG/Ray Allen or Dallas trading for Kidd except with bigger names).

That may be difficult to do without a permanent GM. Don't worry, though, Larry Miller is going to dust of the Rolodex sometime tomorrow morning and start making some calls.

Obviously. But KP wasn't going to do it either so it doesn't really matter if he were GM or we don't have one. I am just trying to figure out if the NBA is going to be worth watching for the future.

How many rings are there on LBJ's fingers?

Of course, he didn't have quite the help Rose and potentially Bosh would bring. And having to contend with the Lakers is a bitch, Kobe may not be here much longer, but of course, they are the Lakers and will get someone like Chris Paul for the MLE or trade for him and only have to give up DJ Mbenga or however you spell his name.

What on earth are you talking about? Championships are won when players sacrifice personal stats for the betterment of the team. Pierce, Allen, and KG didn't care who the " number one " guy was in Boston 07-08. Wanting to play on a talented team with All Stars has nothing to do with the confidence in ones game. No one wins alone. LeBron, Rose, and Bosh may all average around 18-20 ppg if they care about winning. The offense will start with Rose. Bosh will be the number one option in the post. LeBron will fill in the holes ala Pippen.

Magic, Kareem, and Worthy are three of the greatest players of All Time. Were their rings cheapened because they played together?

If the Bulls get both LeBron AND Bosh - Damn! That would be amazing for them. I remember the year Orlando came THAAAAAAT close to nabbing Hill AND Duncan.

LeBron can't play the 2 full time. But, it doesn't matter. With the lineup the Bulls are looking at, they actually WANT an extremely subservient, dirty-work nobody at the 2. Really, it will work out for the team much better than somebody with an ego and a big salary.

Rose
Defender/Garbage Guy
LeBron
Bosh
Noah

Deng can attempt to become a sixth-man bench anchor. As soon as he has a nice year, he should be moved for quality depth.

If the Bulls can get this done you have to hand it to 'em. They only went out and got the top-2 FA and quite possibly the most sought after FA of all-time in LeBron James.

Think Thabo Sefolosha would have looked good at the 2 spot in that line-up instead of Taj Gibson off of the bench? I do. :)

LeBron at PG, Rose at SG, Deng, Noah, Bosh up front. Works.

Taj off the bench, plus D-Leaguers.

The Bulls could conceivably go LeBron and Joe Johnson.

Rose, Johnson, Noah, LeBron, Taj. Works.

Deng super sub / 6th man. Plus D-Leaguers.

That's a somewhat limited offensive team that lacks outside shooting.

I'm not sure it's any better than what James had in Cleveland, quite honestly. Bosh would be a huge addition, and a better option than Johnson.

Johnson, Rose, and James are all used to having the ball in their hands and creating offense. I'm not sure it would work as well as you think it would work. Stoudemire would be a better option B if Bosh isn't available.

I'd prefer, LeBron/Bosh/Rose/Noah and a spot up shooter at SG. Someone who can play off the ball and defend, more easy to find.

Either you need to trade Deng to get more cap space, or sign Bosh somehow and trade Deng to fill in other gaps.

While not an elite defender, JJ Reddick isn't terrible, and he would be ideal with that line-up offensively. They don't have the space to get him without giving away Deng though, do they?
