Every time you post trying to think you're one upping people, and are wrong every time, I have Linkin Park's "In the end" always going.

My FAV Linkin Park song!

It doesn't even matterrrrrrerrreerrrr!

I get the premise of him not being suspended so the game is better.... But setting that standard that it's "okay" to do that if you are a star in the playoffs is terrible for the league. If a guy fouls out they don't overlook it and allow him to continue playing for the sake of the game being better. They don't postpone a game due to injury of a star player either. If he can't keep his emotions in check that is his and the coaching staffs fault.

No, but sometimes the refs "protect" a star player that gets in early foul trouble or already has one technical - which is also complete bullshit. NO SITUATIONAL OFFICIATING! The rules don't change over the course of a game or the course of a series. So, the way the rules are called/enforced shouldn't change either.

Most the time they can claim human judgement or that the complaining looked worse than it was. The fact that this incident was already called a flagrant, It's hard to back out of, especially with the attention it is getting, and that Jones was suspended the same day as this happened.

BTW DG needs to grow the fuck up and quit being a spaz. He reminds me of a spoiled 3 year old who missed his nap.

I've been going to ballet for many years and I have yet to see a dancer knee another. They have sensational body control
Students, when learning a finger turn, get kneed on occasion until the dancers learn proper placement. In a finger turn the man stands behind the woman, his arm upraised and index finger extended. The woman in front, wraps her hand around the finger, he spins, she turns, with one foot on the floor and other knee bent, that foot to other knee. So if they are too close, the knee lands right in the man's nuts. The students learn proper placement very quickly. Or quit dancing.

That's why it would be ironic. :)

Makes me wonder if we still have some GSW fans hanging around here after the last series.

I've read several online articles/blogs about the situation. The overwhelming consensus is that, based on his actions and the precedents, Green should be suspended. What is interesting is to read the comments by the Warrior fanboys and Green apologists, who obviously haven't examined the precedents and don't understand the rules. It's sweetly ironic to see their claims that if Green is suspended it proves the league is biased against them - the most coddled team in the history of the NBA.

Yeah, because we all know what a huge marketing win it would be for Cowtown to make the finals. The ratings would be off the charts in the rodeo and NASCAR fan demographics.

What a smug MF... His mother should be ashamed of that response...

If I said what he said, millionaire NBA player or not, My mom AND grandma would've called me up with the same exact verbiage:

"Now baby, you KNOW you were raised right! You go out and apologize to that boy! You know DAMN well you did that on purpose....."

Then she'd stop talking. She'd be completely silent (I don't know about yours, but the matriarchs in my family are the ones to be feared). There would be a pause to let the words sink in. The magnitude of what I needed to do would become apparent during that pause. My next words would be:

"Yes ma'am".

I'd make a public apology and take my suspension like a man.

My question:

Where is Green's Mama!

The NBA announced the decision shortly after 7:00pm yesterday. I wonder if that means we can expect an announcement on the Green situation within the next two hours. One would hope so, so the teams will have time to make adjustments to their line ups/game plans, if necessary.

It's the mentality of a bandwagon fan. They are always used to being on the top as they hop around from winning team to winning team, therefor they don't usually understand the game to the extent a real fan does as they don't have the same vested interest.

It skews your perspective always cheering for the winner, you're not used to being "wrong" and that trickles over into every facet of the game.

I'm not sure if being a bandwagon fan is bad for your psyche, or if someone of a certain mindset is more prone to be a bandwagon fan. I will however say that I see a lot of kids who cheer for the winning team rather than the home team, and am often confused when I see adults doing the same.

I actually feel less intelligent after listening to the words coming out of his mouth.

In that video he was scrambling. I think if this was regular season you might get a different response, but he is doing everything he can do to avoid suspension. Game 4 in a playoff series is often pivotal. And this game is no exception.

However I think now it might hurt the Warriors more if he does play. They might be better off if they are the ones playing with the bigger chip on their shoulder. How good will Draymond play if he does not get suspended? The crowd will be all over him. Maybe he feeds off it....I am not sure.

Olden Polynice was just on Jay Mohr Sports, and he's pretty adamant that Green shouldn't be suspended. He's buying the load of bull that Green was just kicking out his leg while shooting in order to create a foul the same way Miller and Kidd always did.

And, for fans of the NBA, with their superstar calls, it also leads to a sense of entitlement. They are so used to their favorite players/team getting all the calls, it blows their mind when an actual correct call goes against them.

Of course, the Lakers have always had the most bandwagon fans, with the biggest sense of entitlement - which is why it has been so nice to see them suck the past two years. Of course, it's LA, so they just trade their Kobe jersey for a Blake or CP3 jersey and keep right on bringing that sense of entitlement to the Staples Center - the house that entitlement built.

That was a quality nut sack kick. He Needs an NFL penalty style game suspension. C'mon, give it to him. You can't kick a long hair in the nuts. That shit ended after 1968.th BLAZERS UNIVERSE.jpg

He's either blind, or an idiot - likely both. We've all seen the replay at least 20 times from multiple angles. Green releases the ball, lands, takes a small hop and THEN kicks Adams in the nuts. It's not even close to the same thing as extending your leg when shooting the ball. How many times did Miller or Kidd extend their leg high enough, with sufficient force to kick an opponent squarely in the nuts? ZERO. Shut the fuck up Oldman.

While I can't say for certain that Green intentionally kicked Adams in the crotch for the purpose of hurting him, the only other reason for the move that he made would be that he was flailing to try to draw the foul and it just happened to catch Adams squarely between the legs. Given the split second timing of the way it happened in real time, there's probably a better chance that B is the case because that kind of thing is so commonplace in today's NBA that guys are kind of pre-programmed to make those moves. That said, if you're going to try to game the system by making non-basketball moves to increase your chances of drawing a foul, you have to live with the consequences. He should be suspended, even if it ends up costing the Warriors a chance at the championship.

Truth.

Intent doesn't matter, but if it did, he's be screwed either way. Either he was intending to kick Adams in the nuts, or he was intending to deceive the officials. According to the rules, either warrants a one game suspension.

I'd actually LOVE to see him get hit with a two game suspension - one for admitting he was flopping and one for unnecessary contact that put another player at risk. Those are the technical reasons, the real reasons are, I'd love to see the crocodile tears of the Warrior bandwagon fanboys and two, I'd love to see that arrogant SOB get brought back down to Earth. He's actually so fucking arrogant that he ADMITTED he was flopping as his defense for kicking another player in the nuts.

That's some serious sense of entitlement there. It's ok that I kicked him in the nuts because I did so by accident when I was trying to deceive the officials.

Regardless of intent, has Green even remotely showed any remorse for kicking (deliberate or not) Adams in the nutz? If he had went over and showed some empathy after he did it I would have said he shouldn't be suspended. If he had said he was sorry in the media for what is basically the #1 no-no for men to do to other men, I would have said he shouldn't be suspended. The fact that he's done neither shows it was intentional IMHO...

Roughly the same remorse he showed for hitting and injuring a ref.

They need to announce this shit already

I thinks it's good that they have given Green enough rope to hang himself. If there was ANY doubt about a suspension, which there shouldn't be, I think Green's own big mouth may have sealed his fate. In lobbying against a suspension, he admitted to flopping and said he should get away with it, because everybody does it. Flopping (deliberately deceiving the officials) is a suspension worthy offense that the NBA has been trying to crack down on for the last two seasons. And now, this ass clown admits he did it and acts like he should get off the hook because everybody does it. Not exactly the PR the NBA wants during the playoffs.

So, that's two suspension worthy infractions - deliberately deceiving the officials and unnecessary contact that puts another player at risk for injury. I doubt if they will suspend him for two games, but I think his big mouth will insure he gets a one game suspension and admitting he was flopping will probably draw a healthy fine to go with his suspension. I think that's why it's taking the NBA a while to announce their decision. They are probably trying to determine the amount of the fine and waiting to see if Mr. Arrogant Dumb Ass Big Mouth will make any other admissions of guilt.

I have come to the decision that I don't want him to be suspended. It will make for an even better story line for game 4 if he plays. Either way I think oKC wins game 4 and I would prefer Green is on the floor for it.

This is really pissing me off though because I really don't want to see OKC win, but the Warriors just keep giving me reasons to root against them. Will I have to root for Cleveland in the finals?

Exactly, Duckhook! I mean, if you unintentionally hurt someone you go over and say oh man, sorry, hold a hand, help him up.

As for Polynice, am I the only one who remembers how he clotheslined Rod Strickland?

Yeah, probably will fine Adams' nuts. Like Brian Grant getting a foul call because he fouled Karl Malone's elbow with his face.

I disagree with the idea that you don't do suspensions that could change the game. Aside from the fact they did not hesitate to throw a player out when he was named Rasheed Wallace and played for Portland, part of being a great team is focus. Keeping your cool. And accountability. I do understand a coach at least publicly defending a player, but in private I hope that Kerr, along with Curry and others, are ripping Green a new one for potential damage to their title run. And that would establish that a bench player can't knee someone but a starter, borderline star, well, it's OK.
