I think Adam had the talent/skill, but not the athletic ability to really make it big in the league - while the others had the athletic ability but not the talent/skill.

At the end of the day it's not his fault - he was just drafted too high - happens to many players. The way I look at it - he made maybe $10m and won 2 rings. If that's a bust, I want to be a bust.

Yeah, maybe, but that, imho, is not really a bust because Ammo did not work hard or did not reach his potential, it was just bad scouting. It was clear he was not going to be able to get the free shots in the NBA he got in College.

Is he a bust as far as where he was selected? Sure. Should he be upset about it? I most certainly would not be if I made $10m, won 2 rings and know that I did all I could to succeed. This is not a Darius Miles situation where his stupidity and pot smoking were in his way to really get as much as he could from his talent. The people that should be ashamed of this pick are MJ and his staff at the Bobcats.

Babbitt can handle the ball better, stronger, more athletic, has more rebounding abilities. I know its easy to hate on Babbitt because he's a white kid that played at Nevada. But, he can ball. Its the defensive end I'm worried about with him.

How much did you watch Babbitt at Nevada?

I don't think Babbit is quite as ground bound as Morrison and not nearly as stiff with his movements, but based on what little I've seen of him during Summer League and then at fan-fest it still looks like he's a good ways away (maybe a year at least). He can rebound a little, he's a decent enough passer and I'm pleasantly surprised by his handle, but his catch-and-shoot ability is way too slow for the NBA, and he's not only slow on defense he looks completely lost most of the time.

If he does stick (here or elsewhere) then I suspect he's going to have to reinvent himself into a Vlad-Rad, or Troy Murphy type stretch-4, versus trying to play NBA small forward where I don't think he's ever going to be much use on defense and could have a hard time getting his shot off against guys like Shane Battier, Ron Artest and other wing stoppers.

You have to wonder if part of it wasn't a lack of mental toughness. His athletic ability wasn't that bad. A lot of players come into the NBA and struggle a little bit but they believe in themselves and keep working at it and succeed. GM's, even in this modern age, seem to have trouble testing for and evaluating this quality.

His problem is he was tabbed as a scorer coming into the league. He still has the ability to score, but he's after his injury he was way too passive and didn't have that scorers mentality that got him to the league to begin with.

He'll have to do a lot more than just make a basket here and there to succeed.

He's white so the fans are going to think he's going to be an under-athletic, typical shooter that most basketball fans think most white players become.
