Wow, it's like the fanbase sitting in the principals office only it's the PR department.

lol.... wtf is this.. a 101 on how to be a fan? Damn.. that IS pathetic.

I'm glad I get my employee discount after the RG prices. Dang those Miami prices are steep!

Horrible.

And I love that they managed to make Hamburger/Chips/Drink for $12 sound like a deal.

That is pretty sad that they think $3 off some severely overpriced junk food is going to make their fanbase give a crap.

In their defense, they are probably working late and too tired to cheer since the Heat are in all out price gouge mode.

What fanning up doesn't mean clubbing until halftime, then clubbing some more, and then coming out to your seat and finding your team down 20 to Boston?

If the tickets were free, then this would all make sense, questioning whether HEAT fans deserve such ownership largesse.

The Miami HEAT have a pretty terrible PR department.

It's Florida, if they really wanted people to show up early they'd play bingo before the game.

"Fan Up!" you lame old biatches!

So it's not just the slugs in So Cal that do that. I used to think it was sunshine and plenty to do other than sports that kept people out of sports arenas, but they don't have issues like that in Texas or AZ. I'm settling on the theory that there's a layer of self-absorption and pretentiousness of a fake fan that keeps them from making it the necessary priority. Do you have any idea how long it takes to get your pretty ass ready to look good in the stands at a basketball game for god's sake!

the Celtics TV guys did a segment in Miami yesterday where former NBA player Donny Marshall pretended to be Eddie House and the people they came across believed them. One woman actually thought he was LeBron.

I think the fans put up with enough considering they have to listen to that guy say, "THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

But seriously, it seems like a lot of pro teams in Florida have trouble with their fan bases. Maybe because nobody in the world is actually from Florida so they don't have as much pride.

I think this is equally as annoying as that ... and it probably happens like 10 times a game down there -- at least.

Tonight's Fan Up!

Arrive early for mosquito appreciation night and get...

Dengue fever!

The first locally acquired case of dengue fever in Miami-Dade County in more than 50 years was confirmed Thursday by health officials. They warned people to take precautions against the mosquitoes that carry it.

``This is a big deal,'' said Lillian Rivera, administrator of the Miami-Dade Health Department.

``We have not had a locally acquired case of dengue fever since the 1950s,'' said Dr. Fermin Leguen, the department's chief epidemiologist.
