If you claim to attend a school, and claim you're majoring in a major that doesn't exist, is it reasonable to assume that you're lying about attending that school? In fact, I wonder if this moron has attended a college at all. Who wouldn't just use a common liberal arts major? Oh, no. "Pre-law" sounds so much more prestigious. What a joke.

And that's the item I'm willing to disclose. I've heard other items from other sources, but those I won't reveal as I don't have permission to do so. Believe me or not, I don't really care. But am I going to keep call he/she out for being a liar? I sure am.

exactly! that's his big proof ... which comes down to no proof at all. it's something i slipped into my hurried profile when I originally signed up, then changed a couple days afterward -- which was a week and a half ago!

no technically, "pre-law" is not a major. it is, however a term for a program of classes designed to get a person into the best law school possible and prepare them for said law school. i work just as hard at this program as i do my two actual majors and the workload is nearly the same.

so, when iI make quick mention of my majors, i include pre-law instead of mentioning the entire comment that iI wrote in the previous paragraph. the other commenter on this thread seems to think he's clever by trolling on it, but all he's suceeded in doing is make himself look foolish.

be that as it may, my parents and i have gotten a huge laugh at all of this; it's mildly entertaining!

What's odd for me is that while I am still a huge Raider fan, and always will be, that as I get older, I tend to watch and root for teams with Duck players on them in key roles, too.

Bottom line, you're a liar and you know it. It wouldn't bother me, but you used your fake education to belittle others. Now you get all the shit you deserve. See, I actually do have the education you try to claim (and more). And I can smell an academic fraud from a mile away.

I don't know what to think about this PdxKass and maxiep "love affair." Many are saying they don't care if Pdxkass is lying about her sex and/or education, but iff she is lying, I care and would appreciate another poster clueing me in.

Maxiep seems to have conviction here. While I have certainly had my battles with him in the past, I don't remember him making these kinds of allegations to any other poster . . . and he has been posting here for a long time.

So my conclusion is maxiep is not a troll because he does not do this on a regular basis, if ever. I'm feeling there is probably something there (if I'm wrong, sorry PdxKass), But at the same time I got to say that just using a generic term like pre-law to describe your college studies doesn't seem like enough to conclude PdxKass is lying.

Damn, reading my own conclusion, I'm as confused as ever . . .

(This isn't some unique way of hitting on her, is it maxiep? )

see, at least your comment was thought out. this is like the third, fourth or fifth (lost count!) thread he has started this bullshit. i'm not going to try to convince anyone of anything. i don't need to. i know who i am and i know i'm telling the truth. that's all that matters.

essentially, why should i give a fuck about some middle-aged moron who gets his rocks off by attacking a young girl online when he has absolutely NO proof whatsoever? it's the internet, not real life.

but here's the thing; while you say he has conviction, he has NO evidence. none. zero. nil. nada. when you say he hasn't done this before, it's kind of irrelevant since he has now done it on multiple threads. that, by definition, is a troll - and a worthless one at that.
 
I think Maxiep must be a Stanford grad and he just can't accept that Kass is going to school there. I have no idea if she really does or not, but I'm willing to accept it. I suppose Kass could PM Maxie a pic of her at school and that could shut him up?

the burden of proof is his. besides, even if i sent him a pic like that, he's probably still claim it wasn't authentic. truth be told, he could walk into one of my classes, see me studying, and still make his ridiculous claims. he's obviously that petty and immature. keep in mind, we're talking about someone who actually said i was really Sly. it doesn't get more laughable than that.

additionally, since i put he (and BlazerBoy) on my ignore list, it's been much more pleasant around here!

It definitely is interesting and humorous what a commotion the name "Stanford" causes on this forum.
 
Back to OP point I would think part of the reason students at Standford aren’t as supportive of their team is they are there for school and not to party or live the “college experience”. I know my first few years at OSU I didn’t give a rats ass about class so sports and drinking and having fun were priority 1, 2, and 3. I’d guess at Standford those are priorities 3 or 4. Sure there will be the hardcore sports fans like us Blazer fans or supportive Stanford football fans will of course show up but the everyday casual student isn’t as passionate and those are the people that make up the bulk of crowds at games.
 
I think there are a couple drivers for Stanford's lack of Football support:

1) Stanford's undergrad is actually smaller than any other Pac-12 school, about 7,000. Graduate students don't really get into their school sports since they are typically from a different undergraduate school.

2) Stanford attracts top talent from all over the world for both undergrad and grad schools. These other parts of the world don't have any interest in Football.

Nope. Colgate, Johns Hopkins and the University of Chicago. I did get into Stanford for undergrad, however. And I would love it if someone on this board shared any of my schools, because we alums are few and far between.

As I said, my beef is she used her fake education to belittle other posters. That doesn't sit well with me.

What's the culture in Palo Alto? Is it one where it's not cool to be seen as embracing sports? (i.e., a variation of the "Reed Effect") The same dynamic exists with Northwestern and the Big 10. Sure, they will occasionally go nuts, but they're so much more laid back about sports than say are people that attend Michigan, Ohio State or Wisconsin.
