Wondering how the Beavers are gonna play starting next month at PGE park with all the renovations going on.

yeah with that left field wall being all messed up. I could see the Timbers games being just fine. But I also wondered about the Beavers.

Alison one of the administrators (and also the main timber photographer) on the www.soccercityusa.com Timbers brought up a good point. Tampa Bay, FL got an USL-1 team in 2009 look how bad their seating is.

And this is how PGE park is set up with a much better conversion as its not truly a "baseball stadium".

The Beavers will play at PGE this season, here are some more recent pics:

The recent work was to put in the supports for the east stands that will be built after the Timbers/Beavers finish playing this season, and to widen the access road between PGE and the MAC Club. The Timbers will play their last four games on the road, and won't play any playoff games at PGE which sucks. I hope they are played at UP.

WHich would fix the primary problem the Beavers have always had...which is playing in a stadium that is 4 times too large for minor league baseball. It's so much more fun to go to small stadiums for the minor league...

PGE park is too big for AAA baseball when they only averaged 5300 to 5500 fans per game for the past 5 years.
Timbers averaged much more than that. Based upon my findings earlier last year.

The timber army has started a forum topic heading regarding covering sections 105 through 108 on their website (www.soccercityusa.com)
I will expect the Timbers will continue their fanbase this 2010 season with attendance of 7600 - 9800 range per game.

I wonder if the Timbers games will jump up to 20,000 next year once its MLS.
