Mark Jackson is assistant coach material but he blew his relationship with the coaching staff and front office so this does not surprise me. He'll get another assistant job somewhere.

Erman is caught recording coaches' meetings. He is fired and immdediately hired by the Celtics.

No funny business there. Jackson clearly had no reason to fire the guy. :smiley-squint:

He might just go back to ESPN and yell "hand down man down" or "Mama, there goes that man" over and over.

Nate McMillan might not be a bad choice for the Worriers.

And conversely, I think the Pacers should bring Jackson in. Not just next season, but right now. His Southern-Baptist preacher style might be just what Hibbert needs to get back in gear.

He's not even that really. He's mostly known for his motivational speeches and was notoriously allergic to prepping game plans or even running practices. Sort of like the "nice guy" version of Nate McMillan.

Warriors. The next version of run TMC....fast pace ball would be dope.

I was surprised they hired him as a coach after listening to him as a commentator with Jeff Van Gundy.
I was too actually. After listening to him on TV I wondered why anyone thought he'd be a good coach.

Jackson is way overrated. I think he's like John Lucas - a snake oil salesman. He really rubs me the wrong way. Might be the "religiosity" - he just comes across as the kind of sleazy preacher Richard Pryor used to make fun of.

I think we just found our most important off-season acquisition!

He already took a job with the Celts.

My guess is management had him tape conversations, and then found him a new job after Jackson canned him.

Jackson is okay, but any time a coach has that many problems with a front office, there is going to be someone fired. They had big expectations this year, and you have to think they didn't reach those expectations.

I think Stott's will get it soon. I have confidence in him
Why? I hope you're right, but if we go into next season without a defensive specialist as an Asst. Coach I'll be pissed. Stotts isn't bad but he isn't all that good either - on either end of the court. Not Championship good.

The new ownership in G State is stupid as fuck. They will regret this. I heard Mark get interviewed by Dan Patrick. It was a mutual decision. He is glad to be gone.

You want the guy who was secretly recording things? Not me. There's someone else more ethical out there...

Heh- Ben Golliver. Surprising that all it was was a bunch of quotes and summary of quotes. Boring.

I thought some might find that funny.

One would think Mark Jackson would have made his statement after each situation when they occurred and moved on. That coaching staff apparently was a cluster bomb.

Ethics be damned! I want some DEFENSE!
Is Thibs available this summer? If so I hope we seriously look into that before picking up Stotts' option.
