OT: What makes a 'better' forum?

Welcome to our community

I like this place and don't wander because of the layout. Very easy to use. Nobody here is really bringing any real info, but I love the passion in their opinions! #FAMS

So those mock game threads... your "facts" are that (If it's a Blazer/L*ker game) That we have mountains... and LA has... a different set of mountains that inhabit their environment. In the ballpark there? :ghoti:

The thing that distinguishes this board from others is that..Mods and owner communicate with us out in the open. They aren't offended if we argue with them (even in posts, not private messages). This board follows the liberal model, not the police state model of most boards.

I like how you copy and pasted the message exactly as I sent it to you. Rep!

Libertarian, not liberal.

I'm locking this thread. We don't need to be discussing this. The forum is perfect as is.

I kind of like RealGM's format, where they have "relatively" active forums for each team, and then have General boards, a trade board, etc. But, their mods suck, I can't stand reading Wizenheimer's posts on the Blazer's board, to be honest, and overall like the people here more. I think they might have a similar number of people, but are far less active. Maybe people like me that occasionally post there, but prefer other places. It'd be cool if this place got big on other team's forums, where it could be similar to that where, our board stays roughly the same, we still post our own trades, have our own other league stuff, but can see it elsewhere

Thank you, and I have always felt that Julius is the 2nd-smartest person here.

Libertarian, not liberal.

I debated which word to use, but I thought, let's see whether Denny's kneejerk reaction is slowing in his old age. Still fast.

I'd bring back those who have been banned, but this ain't a bad place at all for 2-dimensional chatter.

Hilarious choice of threads to illustrate the feature.

I don't 'like' this addition, though.

I don't mind the twitter implementation.. but facebook likes? eww.

So we hold a party to fluff S2, and at the end of the praise, Denny grabs the opportunity to sneak in a new NSA feature.

I wouldn't touch Facebook with a 10-foot pole.

I've said this before, but the downside of having a small community like this is that it has a very small town feel. It's extremely hard to moderate a small group of people who have been posting together for a long time. I wish we had more active posters to break up some of the same feuds and arguments that have been running for years. Unfortunately the youngens don't post on forums anymore. Eventually this will go the way of the chat room.

Porn bots killed the chat room, I used to love chat rooms but because of bots everything has to be so heavily moderated today they are not worth using. Although I do occasionally attend a live chat Q&A on ESPN or WWE.
