What say you?

If it were Oregon State, I'd be voting for/rooting for the Beavers. I'll root for Oregon in general but as I live in Boise, I'd rather see Boise State take it and hence I'm voting for BSU.

Gramps...

If this is OT, shouldn't it be in the OT forum ABM?

The way I look at it, there's pertinent OT, then there's OT OT. :D

I could be wrong, though. :dunno: :)

Touch call. I want the Ducks to win, but wouldnt be surprised to see Boise St. hand the Ducks a whoopin' on that ugly ass blue turf.

GO BEAVS!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS

ok in all seriousness though, this game will be no gimme. The Ducks have more talent, and now have a QB who is fit/comfortable with the system. If the O-line holds up, I expect Oregon to win by 10.

DUCKS

The LGB/LMJ show is gonna be a fun one. Boise State's two interior defensive linemen are out for this game. Dux are gonna run up and down the ugly blue turf all day.

Even more off topic, but I've heard rumors of a goose, duck, or some other water fowl mistaking the blue turf for water, coming in for a splash landing and violently hitting the ground before rolling to a stop. Is that a true story or just urban legend? Flying into Boise, I've seen that stadium from the air and it's a bizarre look.

Some of my relatives who have lived their entire adult lives in Boise assure me it's not true. And other of my adult relatives who have lived most of their adult lives in Boise assure me it's true. There, it's settled.

that sounds plausible mobes...

on topic: If BSU gets a cheap shot at Masoli again, the ducks are fucked. Otherwise, I imagine Ducks win by less than 7.5

I think I remember reading something in Ted Miller's blog about it being true.

Supposedly for that game, BSU are providing fans with orange, white or blue shirts with "The Myth is True" printed on them, evidently in reference to the story about how waterfowl mistakenly think the blue field is a lake and crash into it.

I'm hoping that by the 2nd quarter, ESPN is showing shots of their fans dejected, with their heads in their hands, with those stupid shirts on. Would be on par with the shots of the crowd in last year's Civil War.

This is sports OT. The OT forum is for politics and such.

I think the Ducks are going to win on the last possession of the game! It is going to be a great game.

Do we know if birds see in black and white or color? If they see in B&W it would be an myth.

All right -- I voted "could care less" which is a give from my usual theory of always cheering on whomever the Ducks are playing. Clearly a mistake. Go Broncos!

The added benefit of a Bronco win is that Pops will tuck is tail between his legs and hide again. Of course, it's possible we've made the mistake of shaming him so that he'll stick around the next time the Ducks lose.

I have a hard time believing that. Not saying your a liar, just saying I think animals are smarter then that!

Yeah, I'm with you -- it does seem crazy. I'm definitely not lying -- that rumor has been around for awhile -- some people swear it's true and some swear it's not. Both camps seem certain.

If I were you, I'd be rooting for the Ducks to run the table up until the Civil War so your Beavs can crush the Ducks' national title hopes in Autzen.

The myth is not true.... at least until Thursday night when the Ducks crash into the blue turf. Broncos will win by 10+ points.

really? that was your joke?

I like how we don't need a poll about OSU and PSU. Pretty clear outcome there! WOO! Go Beavs!

Why? I'd rather just have a season where they continue the beat down on the Ducks who end up winless. Don't think it'll happen this year or even come close, the Ducks look good.

Woot!

Well hopefully we'll see some later in the year..I'd hate to think OT sports just meant Ducks...*cough ABM cough*

someone's a little defensive :devilwink:

lol no not defensive, I have quite a few good friends who are Beaver fans. And some good forum friends who are as well. I just find the little brother syndrome sad and amusing. Its funny on any news update on the topic over on O-live Ducks, the 1st 5 comments are Beavers flaming the topic, and how this has nothing to do with the Beavs yet somehow something about the Beaver being superior, has to be thrown in there. I respect the heck out of what Riley and co has done with the OSU program. But how some act with the flaming is embarrassing, for both sides.
