OT - Will the Spurs make the playoffs?

Why is it assumed this thread is to mock someone? I saw some of the other OUTSTANDING threads people have started and wanted to participate. In those threads, long before Hollinger's playoff bot odds came out, one of the criteria for the Rockets not making the playoffs was there game against the Sixers where they Barely won without 3 starters. S.A. had only 2 starters missing but barely won. Seemed like one of those enthralling threads others start.

The fact that Eric started his Rockets thread before Hollinger's playoff odds came out just proves he knew what the hell he was talking about. A couple days later, when Hollinger's playoff odds came out, it showed the Rockets missing the playoffs with a less than 50% chance of making it. That certainly seems to indicate there is at least a reasonable chance the Rockets miss the playoffs and it was a topic worthy of serious discussion.

You started a thread today about the Spurs playoff chances when Hollinger has them at near 95%. Do you really think the Spurs will miss the playoffs? Fuck no you don't. Neither does Hollinger, nor one single poster that has responded. This was not a serious attempt at a legitimate basketball discussion on your part. It was yet another attempt at mocking Eric in your on going public temper tantrum against the moderators of this forum.

But this is where the problem is and why your statement is disingenuous. In the very thread you just mentioned you're in it posting your dislike of it. You have stated to me in private your dislike of it. If you dislike them so much why are you now continually making similar threads? Kingspeed made that thread to have a discussion. You don't like the subject so now you are going to make similar threads as a way to protest?

Here are some of your posts from the thread you just mentioned:

Eric, these need to stop

So Houston and Portland have the same record, but one, according to Eric, is a contender, and the other he questions if they will even make the playoffs? There should be penalties for starting too many asinine threads.

BNM jumping on me yet again never gets old.

Completely asinine . Not only is the thread completely asinine, the OP goes on to say they would lose to their next three game to "make his point" so now that they won those games without their best player, this thread is even worse

who said sure fire lock? Eric started this thread when they were 8-3 cause they lost to the Lakers. They are now 11-3 and are winning without their best player. They could miss the playoffs, but there is no reason to think they will at this point

So starting a thread about Portland might not make the playoffs wouldnt be asinine? Same record, injuries could happen.

The Lakers might make the playoffs.

It was 11 games into the season, for fucks sake.

Here is the OP, well before Hollingers rankings came out. 11 games into the season, or 13% of the season played. To put that inperspective, that is 2 NFL games. Ask Green Bay and New England how they looked early. Saying how horrible they are stating as some kind of fact to back up his post that they would lose to Dallas and the Knicks....which they didn't. Yes their schedule has been easy, the original post was asinine.

No way id put up with SlyPokerDog's bullshit if I were a fan of another team.

More your asinine threads than you as a whole

Re: Will the Spurs make the playoffs?

As for mocking, I try not to. There was a forum member telling me they owned me in another thread though. That was ok I guess?

And, right on queue...

There are penalties. I just put someone on ignore for the first time EVER. And that is saying something.

To be fair, in reading through that thread he said that after 8 of your posts complaining about what he posted.

I always thought that nobody reads my threads because everyone's completely in agreement with me and that's just boring

It's your own fault. You need to stop being right all the time.

That BNM victim card has got to be close to its limit. He uses it all the time.

Now, back on topic. Are the Spurs in danger since they barely beat the Sixers?

All the time == twice. Not nearly as often as you play it. You may want to contact the card issuer. Based on usage, you're surely eligible for their no limit Titanium Victim Card by now.

For some reason I keep thinking of that South Park episode, "Make Love, Not Warcraft", when they say, "Gentlemen we are dealing with someone here who has absolutely no life."

I'm not sure why I keep thinking of that quote... :dunno:

Someone on the Spurs?

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore.

Also yes they will.

Now, back on topic. Are the Spurs in danger since they barely beat the Sixers?

You're REALLY grasping to try to come up with some kind of justification for starting this thread.

When exactly did the Spurs barely beat the 76ers? They beat them by 25 at home and then beat them by 6 on the road when Pop chose to rest a healthy Duncan and Parker.

But, by your "logic" a 6-point road win in November, without your two best players, over a weak opponent somehow puts the defending champs in jeopardy of missing the playoffs.

And you wonder why people don't take you seriously. You're trolling and baiting and you know it.

The only thing wrong with this thread is that it is being polluted by people taunting, attacking or talking about the poster who posted the OP. How 'bout we either ignore the topic or respond to it, and the rest will take care of itself?

You realize he's imitating KingSpeed into order to goad the mods into making KingSpeed stop posting threads MM doesn't like, yes?
