Aldridge and Love in the same frontcourt.... ugh.... so much talent but I don't think anyone would be happy.

The teams that articles are listing are almost all in the West. I would expect Minnesota to trade him to an Eastern team, to minimize reminders of his existence.

"There's only one ball" is the quote that comes to mind.

LA can acquire Melo, Love, and LaMarcus all they want, but what good does it to them when they all need 20 shots to be effective?

Personally I'm not a Kevin Love fan. Never liked his game period. He's a jump shooting al Jefferson. Would take Big Al over Love any day.

But if the Lakers are to make a Kevin Love experiment work they have to get Irving from the Cavs. Otherwise Kevin love will just come off down screens multiple times for his wing 3 ball. The guy is so one dimensional of offense is retarded. Needs Irving to carry him. Kevin Love is not a franchise centerpiece he's at best a 6th man type player. But he'll never get put in that role until he's what... 35? all because he can shoot...

Although Love is a stat whore who doesn't play defense, he's not the biggest problem in Minnesota. This has become a guard/wing driven league. In Minnesota, Love has been teamed with guards/wings who suck. He's a terrible number 1 option. He can't create his own shot and he plays with a PG who isn't a threat to score, even if left unguarded. Minnesota has a HORRIBLE record in close games, and if you can't win closes games, you're not going to make the playoffs.

Love would be a GREAT fit in Golden State, which is why I hope he doesn't go there. He wouldn't be the number 1 option in GS, but he'd be a dynamite 2nd/3rd option. In GS, he'd be surrounded by all the things he lacked in Minnesota. He'd have guards that can score and space the floor with the best of them. Curry is also a great passer. And, Love would be playing with a defensive center that could help cover up his defensive ineptitude.

My preferred destination for the Love is the Knicks, because they are the Knicks and they will surely continue to be fucked up for years. Plus, they are in the East, so we don't have to worry about a Western Conference team (like GSW) getting better. Hell, I'd even rather see Love got to the Lakers than the Warriors. The Lakers are years away from being good and don't have the guards or defensive center to make Love look better. Now, if Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant were in their primes, they would be a great match for Love, but they aren't. Not even close. They are both old and broken down, taking up roster spots and eating up cap space.

The Knicks literally have nothing to trade.

Wouldn't risk trading for him since he will just leave for LA in a year.

Carmelo is a free agent. There's no fucking way in hell that Melo plays in Minnesota.

Do you even follow basketball?

Is this one of the examples of attacking posters that you were warning me about?

Stoudemire is picking up his $23m option next year. That's a pretty nice trade piece, isn't it? The Wolves tank for a year or two, and try to rebuild via draft picks and cap space.

Sarcastic? I'd say the exact opposited. Joerger understands how to utilize two dominant post presence. Gasol and Zbo now Love and Pek.

That makes as much sense as ketchup milk. Knicks have no draft picks and expiring contracts expire same time as Love walking.

Love isn't a dominant post presence. At all.

High post like Gasol runs with Pek down low in place of ZBo.

If Minny was trading Love they'd be tanking/rebuilding so why would they give a rats ass about stealing a coach? Just my opinion.

I don't think Love has high enough of a basketball IQ to play like Marc Gasol does to run that offense.
Would have to completely change it up.

I think that Memphis under Hollins/Joerger has shown you don't have to have any superstar players (or players who think they are superstars, like Kevin Love) in order to win games and be competitive. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think Kevin Love will be traded this summer.

First of all, Love and Gasol aren't even close to having the same offensive game. Gasol almost posts up or pops out on a top of the key screen, while Love many times plays from the 3-point line in on offense.

I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to have love come off a screen to the free throw line, and dump it inside to pek.. But I just don't see Love being able to run the other offensive sets that Gasol/Z-Bo run together. they're really great passers in their own right.
Not to mention I believe Gasol doesn't come off down picks to get the ball at the free throw line because he's so physical.. and a huge body... I just don't see Love/Gasol interchangeable.
Then the offensive sets Gasol runs with Memphis Guards... I just don't see Love being able to do the same things Gasol does. It's not even close in my book.

But then again my value of Marc Gasol is hugely high compared to Kevin love. I'd take Marc Gasol all day before I'd take Kevin Love.

Marc Gasol is a superstar. Maybe not in the media or for selling shoes but in terms of production he is. He's most definitely a superior player to Kevin Love. He won defensive player of the league. He's IMO the best player at his position when healthy, although some may disagree, but thats the position which historically lead to titles more than any other. When healthy his team had the best record in the league. If they had a couple just average 3 point shooters on that roster they'd likely be in the conference finals again.
