I love watching TV. There was this website I came across a while ago where you could input the shows you have watched, and how many seasons of each show you have watched in total. It said I had watched 56 days of television, and that is only the shows I remembered off the top of my head.

There are many shows that I love, so I'll rate them by category along with an overall best list.

Drama:
Breaking Bad
Californication
Boss
Weeds

Sci-Fi:
Battlestar galactica
Battlestar galactica 1978
(I haven't gotten into Star Trek...yet)

Documentary:
Planet Earth
How the universe works
Life
The blue planet

Sitcom:
Frasier
Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The office(US)
Boy meets world
Friends
Family Matters
Full House
Workaholics
Seinfeld(I always disliked this show, but have recently found myself getting into it)

Sketch Comedy:
Chappelle Show
Tosh.0

Animated:

Overall top 5:

I know a lot of people that watch it, but I lost interest in it after watching the first season. Haven't tried season 2.

Hannibal is also talked about on Reddit all the time, it's getting pretty popular already.

Good news. Gets better and better. Recent episode was crazy.

It has been picked up for season 3, which I was scared of not happening. It is just brutal and fucked up in the best way.

Arrow
The Last Ship
The Flash
Hawaii Five-0
Castle
The Amazing Race
Impractical Jokers

Anyone watching Sense8? I'm a couple of episodes into it... it's interesting but a little slow. It's from J. Michael Straczynski so I'll keep watching.

It's 4k/UHD if you have a capable TV.

Generally I've been watching a lot less TV, mostly 4K content.

Haven't re watched breaking bad in UHD yet. Haven't run out of content, either. It seems when we finish a season of a show, Netflix puts up a new UHD one, like Sens8.

Oh yeah, Banshee is awesome, if you like bloody violence.

The 2nd season was terrific especially toward the end.

I'm not sure if its new or not but that show Aquarius is pretty interesting. I kinda like American Ninja Warrior also.

+> Wayward Pines =Twin Peaks ( same kind of feel)

Best reality shows of all time: Rusian fail and stupid driver videos from Utube. Seriosly, no one on earth drives as bad as the Russians.....

Not a big TV watcher, just a few shows and sometimes catch a movie. Usually classic movies.

Sports: Oakland A's baseball (except when they suck); Blazers games when they're on in Bay Area. Used to religiously watch SportsCenter but it has lost its charm for me.
Favorite commentary: Rachel Maddow Show. I have a terrific crush on her, sadly for me but happily for her, she's married to someone else.
Guilty pleasure: Law & Order SVU marathons.
Foodie shows: America's Test Kitchen, Check Please Bay Area (where 3 "regular" folks, not food critics, each name their favorite restaurant, all 3 try it then go on TV and assess. Found some good places to eat from that show)

My kids love ANW, so I only watch it when they get to watch TV (which isn't too often).

I DVR'd Aquarius not knowing what it was about. I started to get my wife to watch it, but then she immediately remembered that it was Manson related, and refused to give it another second. I've finished the pilot, and I'll probably watch the rest of the season, but I'm not sure how interested I really am in the show.

Just finished with Sense8, holy shit, I thought it was great! It's interesting, the national critics are hating it. Just crapping all over it.

Anyway, it's very detailed in the character development but that's what makes the show interesting. I realize it isn't for everyone but it's one of the most original scifi shows to come out in years.

I'm giving it a 9/10, IMDB has it at a 8.4.

Oddly, Orange is the New Black season 3 is only HD and the audio is stereo (not 5.1).
