Monster game for zion tonight but a bad loss. I feel like the Pels have talent. The starting 5 is very good. Why are they unable to get wins? I don't know enough to answer that. Who is a tougher stop: zion or luka?
36 points in 36 minutes on 14/16 shooting, that's damn efficient. Ya, they have Josh Hart and JJ Reddick off the bench and that's it. Brutal bench.

He had some dimes out there last night against the Bucks.
34/6/8 in 37 minutes on 15/26 from the field.
32/7/6 in 31 minutes the night before against Detroit on 13/18 from the field.

He is getting some TO since he has been pretty much running point for them, but that's to be expected for a 20 year old basically a rookie.
Praying he stays healthy, really enjoy watching him play. Throwback beast of a game.

Weird stat:

Zion has had his shot blocked more than any other player in the league. 66 times.

Bound to happen when you're 6'7" without great length at his volume of attempts around the rim.

Also defended by centers pretty often and almost strictly a left hand finisher.

I'd be interested to see how many of those he's putting back himself too. Would not be shocked if it's over 50% of them.

His impact has been meh despite his monster numbers.

He’s like Rodney Rodgers on steroids.

He needs the right coach to turn him into Baby Shaq

Ya that's going to happen. Guy is what 6'6 and taking it into the chest of all those guys in the paint. Last night Brook Lopez and The Freak were taking turns guarding him and he got doubled every take. I think when you lead the league in points in the paint you can expect to get your shit stated a bunch. Just like Nash/AI/Kidd usually were leading the league in turnovers.

Zbo and Zion actually have been blocked on roughly the same % of shots inside 10 feet (14% range) early in their careers.

And Zbo didn't take nearly the amount of shots directly at the rim.

26.3/7.0/3.5
With a PER of 29.26

Just wait til he gets in shape FAMS!

This post and my opinion in no way reflects that of the Trail Blazers, NBA, Adam Silver or Dr. James Naismith

Never heard of him. He play in the D league or something?

It's nice that he's finally playing himself into game shape. I was concerned about his weight there for a bit. I still think he could turn into the next Oliver Miller though.

Another thoroughly erroneous take.

The dude is a walking hunk of muscle as far as I can see. He’s a unique player. If he ever perfects his outside shooting he’s going to be unstoppable. He pretty much is already.

He is not a bad 3pt shooter, just doesn't pull the trigger much from long. There is little question he will ~lead the league in FG% for multiple years in the future.
