They are doing the right thing. Not a single reason, other than putting asses in seats, to play him this season. Let him get to 100%, then let him lace his shoes up.

...maybe he is carrying all that extra weight after all :dunno: sad all the way around here -- so far, is he considered a bust yet?
Nah but he may be on the way. That team needs to get him in a pool swimming laps all day every day until he's at a weight his body can handle.

The deal was signed in 2019 when Zion joined the Jordan brand...
Precisely, Nike has a vested interest in getting Zion 100% healthly and back on the court for as long as possible before the next major injury. Hopefully they can get him right.

He's just rehabilitating here. Blazers aren't trading for him. Pels wouldn't do that.

Does Portland have good rehab? Like I said, given the history of Blazer leg/foot injuries, why would he choose Portland to rehab? I'd think a place like LA would be better where they have more world renowned staff or get PRP treatment or some shit.

Maybe he's feeling it out to see if he could live here :Sly:

So if we get Zion dick pics is a trade a sure thing?

This is weird. Are the blazers evaluating him for a future trade?
Nike has a facility here supposedly... I doubt we want a big guy (no matter how short) whose frame can't hold up under his weight. That might not be the best thing for our team but who knows.

I get that maybe Zion should reach out, since he is already established on the team. But it's weird to me that he said he spoke to people close to him, or in his circle or something. Like, certainly the team has Zion's number, and CJ could reach out to him, no?

I think it's only customary and polite for players of the new team to reach out to a recent signee. Zion apparently has better things to do.

I'm worried about the pressure and load he's putting on those knees.

I'm worried about his knees.

If he can't be on the court for crunch time, what's the point?

Dude is so skilled but yet again, he has to keep his weight down. That is way too much load to put on his knees/feet given how high he jumps. How is he STILL not in game shape?

We have seen this sorta thing intimately with BRoy/Oden. So it's hard to really fault the team for managing his time. It really sucks to have to see the guy on the bench after playing just 15 minutes when he has had 4 months off. But they also need to put a heavy investment on finding the right kind of nutritionists and trainers to get his body right.

^ yall need to listen to me

CJ is prolly talking about Trajan Langdon, their GM and Zion confidant. He said it during one of his introductory PCs.
