Yeah, that was a very questionable call on Smith. They were facing each other when he hit him. Typical NHL...oh the player got hurt so we have to come down hard on the "offender". That's how they judge their penalties and suspensions. Ridiculous really.
With that said, really good effort last night. They need to play that style going forward. Tight D with structure and take chances when they arise. That is what they need to get back to rather than this wide open run and gun BS.
Let's see if we can build off that and win at Carolina to go into T-Giving winning 8 of 10 games. With a TON of road games after the next home stand post T-Giving we need to be getting points now in case we have some road ups and downs. It is crazy how many home games we have played already, and it will get even more unbalanced after the post T-Giving home stand.
