It's freaking dead in that arena, man.

Coach Frank is louder than the whole arena. And fans wonder why Nets are moving to BK.

Are you actually defending our home fans, GMJ? Do you realize how freaking lifeless that arena is?

Seriously, just get this team out of NJ already. It's suffering.

eh, just a Tuesday night, early season game against the Hawks. Now, if it's not packed on Saturday night against Boston, then that will be sad.

What the Hawks are one of the more exciting teams

oh, and I won't deny that at all, I've said it in other threads. it's just that this arena's location is so hard to get to for some people (no public transportation goes there) and the 'casual" fans won't want to see a team that doesn't have a "star" like lebron, shaq, kobe etc. I would have loved to have been there tonight, had I not worked late.

You completely missed it.

I hate this say this but I think Brooklyn is a go for me. just makes so mad to see so many seats open every game. I live in NJ and have live in NJ my whole life. just live about 20 min away from IC and a big Nets fan. wish I had season tickets. yea I think going to Brooklyn will help us so much with all the energy from the fans. Brooklyn is a big sports town, but the traffic will be crazy. I heard from NetsDaily and my friend Craig from Netsinteractive that it will take about 5 more years for the arena to be done.

I think Yormark truley overestimated his ability to draw fans to the Meadowlands when he and Ratner turned down the option of playing with the Devils in Newark.

completly right. very easy to get to newark from various parts of NJ thanks to the path/train stations/grey hounds that all go there. it's definitly a basketball town too.

Nope. There are complainers and there are doers.

I disagree. All Jizzy did was make an observation, it's not up to him to solve the franchise's issues. If he has bills to pay and has prioritized his spending, I don't see how this makes him unable to comment on an empty area.

Yes, one person is going to make such a difference. Like Sookem said, I'm making an observation, it's not wrong of me to make a judgement on what I am viewing. Really, just stop, Cpawfan.

BTW, I didn't want to go, that's your answer.

In the generic sense, you are correct; however, look at Jizzy's answer

i was at the game last night and aside from nobody wanting to see the hawks play i was surrounded by two sets of kids just screamin and cryin which gets annoying. thankfully they fell asleep in the 3rd, but that is what the nets have been targeting, families. you cant really get rowdy or anything and the environment is just a laid back environment until the playoffs.

ive been pro-brooklyn since the idea came up. it was sad to watch the crowds during the kenyon-era where it wouldnt even hit 10,000 in the arena. now with the xanadu and the new giants stadium going up there is all construction and its just a mess. its sad because you look at coverage of other teams and they show outside shots of people going into the arena with stores and buildings around, then you zoom out of the IC and u see freakin swamp land and steel.......................ugh.

I don't think they are selling too many tickets for the Boston game either. I have two season tickets and need a third individual tickets for the Wizards game tomorrow night, so I call up my rep to see how much the third would be and she said she'd give it to me for free if I can get a few extra friends to come on Saturday for the Boston game. I remember last year the Wizards game was sold out even when Gilbert wasn't there, and now we can't sell out for KG, Pierce and Allen? I'm for the move to Brooklyn, it's definitely going to rejuvenate the franchise's fanbase, but I worry about the ticket prices there.
