9-14. 3-5 on 3's. 2 steals. 23 points.

Travis doesn't get a lot of love around here. I'm glad he stepped up tonight and proved his value. And avenging his poor play against Houston in the playoffs.

He's an excellent player coming off the bench. He has a history of leading us to wins. And I still don't believe he has quite peaked.

Go Travis!

We've seen it before. We've also seen him go into a slump the very next game. It's pretty commonly known that Travis will either shoot you in or out of ballgames and I don't get why everyone's on his balls all of a sudden as these games aren't rare or anything. They happen about every 5 games for him so that means the next four will read 1/9, 4/13, 3/7, and 5/15

Nice game, no question.

I wish Trout was more consistent, but the kid really does catch more hate than is justified.

and only 1 turnover. Everyone else had at least 2.

I liked how active he was tonight running the floor and crashing the boards. If he played like that every night instead of just looking for his shot, I'd be a lot higher on him. Part of my frustration with Travis is I don't think he's as good as he should be.

Truth- Outlaw is one of our most consistent scorers. After LMA and Roy, he has been the only guy we can count on the last two seasons. Who else has been more reliable?

Agreed. It's his 7th year in the league but he's still just a kid. His best years are ahead of him.

All I want to see from Trav is consistency and a little more versatility on a game by game basis. He can even have bad shooting nights and I won't bitch if he commits to pulling down boards, playing good D and moving the ball.

Whatever though, good game for Travis.

I have a love-hate relationship with Outlaw. So many times I have seen him force shots, and no one to grab an O-rebound, and the next thing you know the other team gets an easy fast break score.. At least tonight it didn't seem he was forcing shots, and actually waiting to be open instead. It was refreshing.

It figures that Outlaw blows up for the one game I can't watch, rewatch, DVR or archive. :)

Just looking at the notes and box scores, I'm fine with Travis getting 33 minutes if he's attacking the boards, attempting to play D, making shots, etc. What I'm not fine with is when he gets large minutes when he isn't. Hopefully, that doesn't happen this year.

I like how he played but it's just one game. Don't pump him up too much to where you'll go on suicide watch if he has an off game.

The thing is... Outlaw is 100% the most hated Blazer in here. In the "game" thread, he was voted off before even Dante Cunningham and Juwan Howard. And yet Outlaw has won so mamy games for us. People actually said in here that Juwan should play ahead of Travis, lol! And then Travis carries us tonight. Why won't people wake up and embrace this guy as a positive force on our team?

I agree. Travis is under appreciated around here. Big time. He's a very good player off the bench who can do some really good things.

I think we finally narrowed down the cause of Outlaw's inconsistencies. Take one for the team and Stop watching games!

Exactly right. Last night's game was Fool's Gold. Outlaw will look good about once every 5 or 6 games, and the rest of the time he'll kill you with turnovers and one-on-one play. I will say that last night I saw him actually pass off once (to Pryz) as he was driving to the hoop, which nearly floored me.

I was pleased with his performance tonight. I hope he can be more consistent.

When I saw that my initial thought was "No! Why'd you pass it to Joel?"

Without looking at any else, just watching the game in the arena, Outlaw was the reason we win that game. He lit the fuse in the beginning of the 2nd that pushed us out to a big lead. That gave us the breathing room so that when we turned sloppy we still had enough margin to win. I'd love to see him put together a couple games in a row!

He had a good game. He had the matchup he wanted though. Like I have always said, he performs best when he gets a slow power forward type to have to guard him from the perimeter. That's what he had last night and he has always thrived in that sort of matchup. That is why Nate uses him off the bench to replace Lamarcus, is to exploit that very matchup which is usually there every time.

Everyone is saying they would like to see Travis and Martell be more consistent. They have been consistent, just not in a good way... but thats why they're paid like rotation level players.

But it's a new year and hope springs eternal. What if...

I liked what Travis did last night, for sure - but I also liked what I saw from Webster. He moved without the ball a lot better than I have seen him before. If this continues - he will have a much better year.

Good to see, overall.

Damn Kingspeed, you really do have a hard-on for Trout! :)

Played a great game, but he's also shot us out of a lot of games w/bad decisions etc.

If he can do what he did last night with consistency every time he plays, then I will definitely add him back into my NBA2K10 roster :)

Travis was just relied on way too much last season as our No. 3 go-to scorer. This season, with a couple more offensive weapons, I think he doesn't have that kind of pressure to score 15-20 a night, and he can just go out and play off Andre or Greg or Brandon or LaMarcus, and just be that guy that no one else is paying attention to on the floor. He can still go to the boards a bit more, but we've been saying that for awhile now.

Surprisingly - I think Travis might benefit most from Miller's addition - because on offense Travis has always been a pretty big mismatch for most players - and Miller seems to be able to get him the ball in the right place to take advantage of these mismatches. That alley-oop thing was a thing of beauty.

Well said and pretty much spot on. I want more D, rebounding and all around hustle from Travis. If he brings those things I can live with his cold spells. It's when he is cold and lacksadasical on defense and rebounding that I become enraged with him. His decision making was still suspect in this game and at least one of Greg's TO's should have been Outlaw's as Greg was in Auto-dunk position in the paint and Travis held the ball so long that Oden got called for 3 in the key. That said fucking fantastic effort by Outlaw.

Also what about Martell Webster? He was fantastic! Exactly what we need from our 3.

Can you image a bench player being inconsistent. That doesn't happen much.

He just needs to hustle every night. His shot will be off every few games as with all players. But if he works hard every night then he is a huge asset coming off the bench.
