I agree. Outlaw needs to step it up. 6th year in the league. Problem is his bball IQ is low and that cant be improved. He needs to take smarter shots, play better help defense, and most of all REBOUND!

Too bad that's all connected to BBIQ.

Travis has picked up too many bad habits and doesn't seem to show a true commitment to the defensive end. He'll hit a big shot in the 4th quarter, but if we had a better SF we would probably be up by 10 points at the end of game and not need the last second heroics anyway.

He needs to step out. I was really hoping KP would have traded his sorry ass for a real SF. But no, he "loves" Outlaw, he's so young, and he's apart of our special team.

I disagree. I think other GM's see Outlaw as fools gold and didnt want him with Raef. They wanted the true gems... Rudy, Bayless, and or Batum. I think KP would have traded Raef and Outlaw for Jefferson, Butler, or Wallace if he could have.

Well ya, you're saying they didn't want him because he's not very good.

Not many players in this league have suddenly "turned it on" after 6 years, college or no. Outlaw is what Outlaw is.

Don't hold your breath. You might pass out.

If Canzano doesn't know the role that Outlaw is expected to play, then he has no business covering the team. I did find it odd that KP was very curt with Canzano, who didn't even bother to ask about Oden, while at the same time being very cordial with the Fan guys. And the Fan guys asked better and more challenging questions.

Canzano's initial question to KP.

"Did you drop the ball?"

Canzano's right, but hasn't this been the line on Travis for the past two years? :dunno:

Outlaw gets paid 4 mil/yr with 2 years being a team option, and all of a sudden he is expected to be the savior?

Agreed 100%.

There's a reason he's the only playing late in the 4th quarter.

Exactly . . . pay him star money and he will play like a star for a whole game. Until then, I'm glad he chooses the 4th quarter (opposed to the other quarters) to earn his pay.

That's sarcasm right?

I'll assume that is is.

Because I don't give a fuck if a guy is "only getting paid 4 million", or "only getting paid 12 million".

I don't expect anything more from Outlaw because I already know his game. I just think his game hurts us way more often than it helps.

That's ridiculous. No matter how good your team is, you will play in lots of close games throughout the season and you need someone who can deliver the goods in the clutch. Travis does this.

I just can't stand the Outlaw hate in here. The guy delivers in the clutch and he's only 24!! He'll hit series winning shots in the playoffs and people will still hate on him. It sucks. The other 29 teams in the league will say "we need an Outlaw on our team" and our fans won't realize what we have. Ridiculous.

Most of the time Tarvis has to deliver in the clutch because he has been beaten so bad on defense that we need to score.

I don't hate Outlaw at all. But there is no denying he was absolutely GHASTLY at Golden State (it was really painful to sit there and watch) and not much better against Memphis. I will give benefit of the doubt; his name has been in trade talks and he may have been distracted, even unhappy that the team might be ready to deal him. Well, that's over now. So now I think we have a right to expect him to get back into the game.

We know what he is capable of. Let's see it now on a nightly basis.

One other thing. Not only has Outlaw hit clutch shots. But he has had clutch defense as well. Remember when he blocked Kleiza's shot at the buzzer?

One play from last season?

Outlaw is quite possibly the most overrated Blazer of all time. Followed closely by Martell.

I'd have to agree; Trout is probably our worst defender when guarding 3s, that's why he's really no good as a 3. He's much more productive when he's a four, because the guys are bigger and a little slower, which plays out of his defensive shortcomings.

Which is why I miss Webs, and hate when Batum only plays 17 minutes. Our team is much more effective when Batums is playing the 3 and Outlaw just rotates at the 4.

That's complete bullshit.

Nope, it's the sad, sad truth. Though in all honesty the fault lies with the whole team.

I don't really hate Outlaw, but he is the most frustrating Blazer since Rasheed. You can see flashes of dominance from him, but they never last long.

Canzano must be out of his mind if he thinks something will just click with T-Law by now. He is who he is. And that is a powerless power forward who likes to turn down open shots to do jab step fade away 20 foot jump shots.
