Forum Game Over/Under #82 Nuggets

Statement: No participation points or best picture this time. Final Over/Under of the Season so someone is about to win! We may do a playoffs version but it will be separate if we do. Getting this out early so all can participate.

Question: Between Allen Crabbe, Maurice Harkless and Gerald Henderson who will have the best Plus/Minus* in the last game of the season?

*Plus-minus measures the point differential for the team when the player is on the court, which is the difference in the points scored for and the points scored against.

Rules: Pick your answer and pick how many points you are wagering. You can bet up to however many points you currently have. So for example if you have 217 points you could bet that much or just say bet it all. If you bet that many and are wrong then you go to zero though.

LOL! This game is pretty much a crapshoot. For what it's worth, I'll consider you the winner no matter what. With everyone betting so much this game kinda makes it so the previous 81 didn't matter very much.

There are no prizes this season so it's purely for fun. Next season KOR and I have talked about putting together a prize pool for the Blazer maniac, so you probably shouldn't expect something like this last game next year.

I agree though, River is the winner in my book. Even though technically I'm more of a winner than him!

I would be open to changing the points that can be risked in the last game. Only can bet 80? Only can bet half your points? I do want to keep it so anyone in (say) the top 10 can win though. Anyone lower than that has probably dropped out long ago anyways.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

kind of puts the odds against the #1 though cause he has to bet the bank and win in order to keep the other 9 away.

Only if he is betting on the same player (or result) of those around him. If the top 5 or 10 have no shot of winning the season standings in the last game then they would have no reason to play at some point. Many would drop out of the game with something like 5 games left in the season.

So another option would be to do an elimination game. After game 60 we drop the lowest scoring person (or lowest 2 or 3 even) in the standings. At game 82 twenty or more people would be gone.

I really like this idea. Game it starts on could be tweaked for next year.

You kids adjust the rules all you like. At the end of the day, wily old farts like Riverman and I are going to win the day. And I'll be proud to have Riv as my runner up......
