A sure double but because he jogs out of the box, he gets thrown out. How ANYONE condones this type of shit is beyond. And I'd bet that our nut-less manager didn't say a damn thing to him.

Seriously let him become someone else's multi-million dollar headache.

...true, but if the ump gets the call correct, we're not having this convo....chicken or the egg..

Yes we are. Because if he hustled out of the box he would have made it to 2nd standing up.

He certainly doesn't look like he's busting it too hard, does he? If he was Michael Ray Richardson and spoke better jive english - he'd tell us - "the ship be sinkin'. He looks like a guy who is already looking ahead to getting paid a lot of $$$ by someone this off-season. Over and out Robbie.

This circus atmosphere surrounding this team is the final straw. We were holding out hope for when we got all the players back. So now let the reality set in. We are officially done. Call it a reload, call it just a bad year, call it a rebuild but we have in my opinion CF, 1B, 1 Starting Pitcher (Nova) and 3 relievers (Kelley, Clairborne and Robertson that are major leagie caliber for next year. I hate Cano, but will have to accept that the Yankees will give him a boatload of money so that makes 7 major league players fro next year. I know Suzuki, Wells, Soriano, right. And CC Phelps, Nuno and possibly Pineda, right. This is just a joke of an organization. It was said earlier today on MLB, Can you imagine if George was alive with a Twitter Account. Yet we haven't seen hide nor hair of the Blunder Boys.

Saw Kenney & Reynolds got on Cano for lack of hustle but did comment that if the GM & Field Manager were not concerned why should Cano be.

...I've gotta believe that Cano's head will have a lot to do with how other teams perceive him and how much money they're willing to offer him.

You know its almost humorous when you think about it. I mean can you imagine when he see's older guys like Soriano, Jeter & Ichiro busting there ass's on a ground ball to rush & a throw. Is he thinking...."Man those guys play hard". And is very impressed. ORRRR....is he thinking, "What bunch of suckers, running hard for nothing". I'm thinking, the latter.

Rick he is so unengaged that I doubt that he is even watching.

Unengaged?, Hell I didn't even know he was dating anyone.

...rick, I'm trying to figure out why he'd wanna bump a 2 week old thread just to say that?...talk about obsession.

He's a sad pathetic little man. Always has been (no pun intended) & my guess, always will be.

well im not going to troll like the pasta guy but i fear to think what our lineup would look like without cano. the yanks are in a tough position. i dont think the money is a problem but what if he wants a ton of years?

I'm okay with 6 years TOPS! Anymore then that, then let him walk. I'd like to believe that between A-Rod, CC & Tex that the Yankees have actually learned something.

...a lot of people laughed last year when I brought the 6 year cap idea for Cano, and many said he'd get a 10 year contract and maybe $25 Mil per year...I still think 6 years is the right number. I think he'll get somewhere around $20 Mil per year which is fine, but let's not get hamstrung by any more excessively long term deals anymore.
...I think there are also other teams than the Yanx who've finally realized how they handicap your future by over-extending players...wonder how the Angels feel about their contracts with Pujols and Hamilton right now?...the Dodgers payroll will eventually bite them as well, and they still have to make room to sign Kershaw and others. The Lux tax will take a big bite out of their ass.

A 6 year contract will put him just around 37 when it runs out. That's more then enough.

6 years would be the best possible outcome i think. if 7 was make or break i guess the yanks might have to swallow it and hope the last year or two arent terrible. they will still get more good years than bad i think. i wouldnt do it if he wants 8, 9 or 10 years tho. no way.

Seriously- he is one of the BEST ALL AROUND players in MLB.

He's a BETTER more skilled 2nd baseman than Pedroia--- AND a better all around hitter.

How much does he want? I don't know.
How long a contract will he be asking for?..I don't know

He is surely one of the TOP players in MLB.
