Your understanding of the law is fascinating, to say the least.

Please let me know where I am lacking in my understanding. The FBI is interested in all calls for extermination, or am I crazy based on my past career?

Oh well, I guess this is a board where those who advocate exterminating people based on their religious preference is more accepted than backing those offended by it.

Nice job, Denny.

I only see people actually backing those who are offended by his posts.

My take is that the guy has listened to way too much Air America.

He expounded on his first post later in the thread.

Did you miss that?

What is the second statement then? No one is preferring people who are advocating exterminating people because of their religion. People are just pointing out that it is silly to think that the FBI will do anything about this, and if they try to, you will have just wasted government resources because it won't hold up against the Constitution and court precedent.

A threat is a threat. How many other threats to exterminate people based on any race, creed, or sex have you seen on this or any board?

The poster who posted it is angry in every thread. I believe he is a true threat.

I'll say it.

Obama/Rev. Wright's church torched, and we have a national crisis.

Wow, and you're a racist.

Pick up a history book because you're spouting the most ignornat blabber about the Civil War I've ever read.

Pick up a dictionary because you don't know what the words you're typing mean.

I have no idea what your past career is, nor why it would make you "crazy." Your belief that a greater and greater number of people are becoming liable for federal crime is a little bizarre.

There wasn't a call for extermination and failing to ban a user (a power neither I nor barfo has, in any case) doesn't make one an accomplice to crime. It's an odd contention on a few levels.

I hope he didn't mean it literally, and that he edited it because he realized people were taking it as such.

This is why some people have neat little banners below their avatars and some don't.

BTW, I was once told by a Minister that I and my daughter were going to hell because she wasn't baptized and I'm not a christian. You think that's kind of hateful?

Don't even get me started on that. Christians who tell their children they're going to hell if they don't believe what their parents believe should be arrested and prosecuted for child abuse.

Let's settle this once and for all.

Do you truly advocate the extermination of all people of religion or any large portion of those people?

No, and I never have. The Bulls fan explained it perfectly and the post was later edited for clarity (like yesterday). Although I'm glad the original lasted long enough to see PapaG get his panties in such a twist :ghoti: :devilwink:

DYM, please explain why, if you could.

I'm fascinated (not to hijack a thread) why you think that teaching a theological doctrine to you children (which, if you believe in the Bible, is your responsibility as a parent) is worthy of arrest and felony prosecution, yet teaching a "scientific" doctrine (like Global Warming) or a "social" one (like having sex for children is ok) or a "political" one (like "vote for McCain/Obama") is encouraged.

Second, please don't judge a faith based upon its members. That seems a lot like saying "(Poster x on a Blazer board) says he's a fan. He posted that he wants to send Oden to the D-League. Therefore, all Blazer fans who post on the board are stupid and should be killed". :dunno:

This thread's unintentional comedy is off the charts.

I laughed out loud at least three times. Classic.

You should be. The only person calling for extermination based on a religious belief started this thread.

He still gets to post here, but I did send his post along to a friend of mine on the local police force.

Your friend is on the local interweb police force? Sweet!

The FBI takes these threats seriously, or so I am told by me friend in the police departement.

Did he go like this tho?

"yah, I'll get RIGHT on that. Thanks. Forget about the actual criminals on the streets, stealing from citizens, mugging people, raping women, molesting children. I'm going to dedicate the next few days of my life to find that interweb terrorist! Thanks for setting us straight!"

Hyperbole.

Look it up, understand it's meaning, learn to recognize it.

I don't know about him, but I advocate educating all stupid people.

That is the only effective way to end religion and the cruelties it inflicts on the world.

I have a friend who works with someone who once was pulled over by a cop. I have forwarded your post to him, and he has told me (and I quote) "would you stop fucking forwarding me this shit? Jesus Christ, get a life." Despite that, I know that he actually was going to forward it to the cop who pulled him over. He loves his country, and I bet more than you!

Don't be surprised if you see Fox's security knocking at your door pretty soon Mr. Maris! We're trying to get rid of all you America hating goons, one by one!

Merry Christmas to you (and a Happy New Year to you..in Jail!)

I hope PapaG's source at the police force is at least a friend of his, so he only laughs at him behind his back and not directly to his face.

I just can't believe the hate mongering I'm reading. Man, some of you have some messed up views on religion. It boils down to this. Either you believe in the Bible or you don't. Either you believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for all of our sins or you don't. Pretty simple.

And Denny Crane, the reason your Pastor told you that is that if you don't believe in Christ than you really have no option for Heaven. Which unfortunately only leaves one alternative. As for the baptism thing, that is a bit whacky. Baptising young children really doesn't matter because they don't really understand the concepts of Christianity. That is one of the reasons the Bible says that all children go to heaven no matter their religion. Once they reach an age where they are able to understand, God makes the decision on whether they had an opportunity to learn the Gospel. I pray for a lot of you. Your Blazer fans, so your souls are worth saving.

That is pretty simple, but how is it related to hate mongering or messed up views on religion? I don't understand your point. Are you saying that non-believers are hate-mongering and have messed up views? Or are you saying that there are only two legitimate viewpoints, neither of which include hate-mongering and messed up views? Or?

That's pretty sad, IMO.

There are real criminals they could spend my tax dollars on going after.

I think the mods here can handle any subversives we may have on the board without the FBI's help.

Absolutely, but somehow I don't think PapaG reported the minister to the FBI.

Guess that makes him an accomplice to child abuse? :dunno:

I'm not a religious person, but I have plenty of tolerance for people who are.

You know, guys like Martin Luther King Jr., who some are suggesting the world would be better off without.

Point being there's the bad (you'll go to hell!) and the good (civil rights).

Well, we had a poster in this forum who suggested that the world would be better off if Christians were exterminated. That is pretty messed up. I have no issue with people who don't believe, but when they suggest that those of us who do should be wiped out, that is pretty messed up. What if we said that all Muslims should be exterminated? That would be hate mongering. What if we said the world would be better off without Black people? That would be hate mongering. What is the difference?

What if he's correct, and the world WOULD be better off without people who allow myths to guide their actions in real life?

Personally, I think that's true, and eventually inevitable, but education will bring it about, not genocide.

Could you imagine what would happen if someone burned a Mosque? Chaos. Now someone may have torched Palin's church and I bet most people could care less. This country is going down a slippery slope.

Mosque. Church. It matters not. They are basically the same thing. When a Church gets burned down, the Christians get pissed. When a Mosque gets burned down, the Muslim get pissed. When will I start getting pissed? When they burn down something that matters, like the Rose Garden.

When something gets "burned down", Society should get pissed. Last I checked, arson was a crime in most states. But amazingly enough, because there's a religious component, you can burn them down without hasoos getting pissed. Don't touch the Rose Garden, though. Or Kells, since that's a pretty good pub. Or Lloyd Center, b/c sometimes I shop there. Or schools, b/c we educate our kids about the myths of Darwinism and Global Warming there.

But then again, if I tell my kids about the Bible, I'm a child abuser. :dunno:

Kind of random for people who don't allow myths to guide their life. If societal laws don't guide their life and morality, and they don't believe in living according to "myths", then what does?

Yeah, it really seems that people are close-minded to religion. Its sad, because we are in the 21st century now, and in America.

A sense of personal responsibility.

Get it.

Use it.

Whats wrong? God not there to keep the Church from burning down? Or was he too busy out creating Tsunami's which kill 200,000 people in a shot.
