I do pay attention Cup. And I know that terrible incident that happen to that women was done by a right wing nut.

The thing that bothers me though, as I lived here for many years is how out of hand the hate has gotten and everyone seems yo justify it by more hate talk or blame.
It would be nice to hear from both sides, that this needs to stop and a joint effort to help it stop.

Whenever I've been downtown or Seattle or SF during my traveling days the protestors that are the most aggressive are lefties and they do not apologies for it, as its part of their game plan.
Ive never had a conservative come up to me shouting hate. Im all for protest big time but it cross's the line when the protesters advocate violence and hate. Where are the peace makers?
You don't see this in Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Detroit etc.

It doesn't matter to me, what side they are on, when I see this shit happen it really pisses me off. The mayor of Portland better step up and get a handle on it soon.

My wife and daughter? I've had that happen to me before and I got violent. I slugged the kid. He actually apologized right after I hit him. He mocked my wife's Asian accent. BAM, he got a taste of my anger.

I get angry like that about once every 20 or 30 years so you can see how I really try to avoid it.

Had I seen or heard someone get like that to your wife or daughter, even if I didn't know who they were, I would have gotten in between so they would have been safe.

I'm not a bad person I just feel like ANTIFA would largely fade away without some really nasty people showing up.

I've got a great nephew who is the most popular kid in his school and a superstar basketball player. His dad and I tried to get him interested in our alma mater, Oregon State. Nope, he didn't want to go there. So, next we tried to interest him in North Carolina explaining they're reputation in basketball and in academics. Nope, he wanted none of that. Why? Because they discriminate against the gay young men there and he would have none of that. Mind you, he's a good looking kid who is extremely popular with the girls and very straight. He's so popular that the President of Samsung's son is one of his best friends. Now, I bring this up 'cause he also stands up for the defenseless and I'm extremely proud of him for that.

I have NEVER spoken up for any of these groups HG. I don't condone that sort of activity, but I also don't just continually condemn one group and ignore the other group.
