But really, we're talking about minimum salary guys so I don't get what there is to complain about. It's not like we signed those guys to the MLE or something. What were you expecting this off season?
Bargains--players who were actually worth more than vet min that had no choice but to settle for it. When I see guys like Thabo, Faried, and Monroe all still out there, and we've got Hezonja, Tolliver, and Pau, I feel like we've underutilized an opportunity to pick up players who could legitimately contribute to a title push.

Not a fan. Don't really see his addition being worth it. Feels like there are better vet min options out there at his position. Pretty much the same thing I feel about Tolliver. And Hezonja.

I'm being pretty negative this offseason.

Recognition is the first step to recovery :devilwink:

BIG TIME!!!

IDC about his age and the fact he’s not in his prime, he’s one of if not the most well seasoned 4 in the league. Been to the finals many times and deep in the playoffs with many times.

This is HUGE!

Can't wait to see 7' Zach jump between 7' Pau and opponents "Get the F*CK away from my f*ucking father you f*cking f*ck!" And then Pau suppressing a smile as Dame steps in between but Dame's too short for them to notice him.

This $2.6 million minimum contract is going to cost the Blazers ~$10 million at the end of the year if they don't shed some salary at the trade deadline.

Free agent Pau Gasol has agreed to a one-year, $2.6 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, league sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

Gasol, 39, joins a reshaped Blazers roster that is prepared to make a run for a return to the Western Conference Finals -- and perhaps beyond.

Gasol will join a center rotation that includes Hassan Whiteside and Zach Collins --- and Jusuf Nurkic once he returns from a serious leg injury. Portland had success with a center rotation that included Enes Kanter late in the season into the playoffs last season.

Gasol brings a sparkling future Hall of Fame resume across 18 NBA seasons, including two championships and six All-Star appearances.

Gasol signed with the Milwaukee Bucks after a buyout with the San Antonio Spurs last season, but he played only briefly before a season-ending foot injury, averaging a career-low 3.9 points and 4.6 rebounds in 30 games last season.

He discussed a free agent deal with the Blazers in 2016 before signing with San Antonio.

Gasol has played with Memphis, the Lakers, Bulls, Spurs and Bucks, and had an outstanding FIBA career with the Spanish national team.

My word--this reads more like a press release from One Center Court than like legitimate reporting coming out of Bristol

doubt he brings anything to the court. This is a locker room/practice signing.

Olshey signed him to just mentor Zach. So it’s a great move.

Does his entire salary count for tax calculation purposes, or just the vet min cap charge? @hoopsjock?
