Man, oh, man! I'm REALLY enjoying this Laker win, but I still can't help thinking about what it would be like to put a whupin' on the Mavs, too!

Go Blazers!

Beating Dallas would be the cherry on top. We need to handle them here at home.

Without Rudy, it's going to be tough.

Hopefully we get up for that game as well. The Lakers in the Rose Garden brings out the best in us.

Hopefully the crowd makes it a playoff atmosphere again. The youngins really feed off of that energy.

With Dallas playing in Phoenix tonight, they'll roll into Portland late tonight, or early tomorrow morning. Tomorrow's game is the type you place on your calendar as a W.

It would be nice to see a little repeat of this: [video=youtube;YBIVX5tu1WM]

I remember that game. Blazers trounced the Mavs. I also remember, in what was an odd stat, that the Mavs either set or approached the record for consecutive made FT's in a game. They were like 32/32 or something in a game they were getting absolutely crushed.

Dallas worries me. For some reason they really manage to disrupt everything we want to do. I hope we finally solve their riddle on Wednesday.

I wish Portland had that Pippen still (or a younger version, of course). He was just such a graceful player to watch, and really facilitated the team's offense and defense so well.

Pretty scary to think about if Dallas beats Phoenix and beats us, they'd be only 1/2 game behind us. This is as big of a game than the Laker game.

If Rudy's out, the team will need to rally around and win one for the gimper.

Batuminator will step up and be big tomorrow night! No Rudy hopefully means more minutes for Batum.

This will be a good "indicator" game for me. We've lost to these guys twice already this season. Dallas is in a tough fight to make the playoffs. That, plus teams tend to have letdowns following big (emotional) wins. Will the Blazers? We shall see.

Most amazing 90 seconds of basketball I have ever seen in my life. I have watched that probably 100 times, and it still gives me shivers and watery eyes

I would like to see the Blazers destroy the Mavs but I am a little worried about a let down. Even though Big D is coming off a game tonight I could see them coming in here and winning. How does a young team respond in a game they should win after a game like the one they had against the Lakers? Especially a young team that tends to play up or down to it's competition.

If the Blazers can come out and play like they should, with a lot of energy and sharpness, like in the LA game, then it's a sign that the Blazers are maturing, IMO.

*every* game is as big as the Laker game, some more so -- just because of head-to-head tiebreakers -- in terms of the standings.

But in terms of team pride, Lakers games are always more important. :-)
