Defending champion Marin Cilic says he is withdrawing from the Zagreb Indoors because of the lingering right shoulder injury that also forced him to miss the Brisbane International and Australian Open.
- Marcos Baghdatis survived 26 aces and saved a match point to upset top-seeded Ivo Karlovic in the second round of the Zagreb Indoors on Wednesday.
Baghdatis, the 2008 champ from Cyprus, converted his second match point to defeat Croatian Karlovic 3-6, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (7) in a thrilling match just shy of the two-hour mark.
Andreas Seppi was three points from defeat when he rallied past Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (6) to reach the Zagreb Indoors semifinals Friday.
Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain defeated Andreas Seppi of Italy 7-6 (4), 6-3 Sunday in the final of the Zagreb Indoors for his fourth career ATP title.
The third-seeded Garcia-Lopez rallied from 4-1 down in the first-set tiebreaker, winning six straight points to clinch the set.
Seppi earned the first break of the match for a 3-2 lead in the second, but Garcia-Lopez responded again by winning the next four games. He clinched the win when Seppi sent a backhand into the net.
