youre right I don't know yall's team as well as you do. But I try my best to do my homework. And my homework tells me is that Harkless is better in almost every advanced stat category than Turner. Harkless shots much better from 3, better field goal percentage, better defense, etc along with seeing both in action. And I think Harkless wouldve made us pay much more than Turner did.
Why are we comparing them? We need them both. Not one or the other.

They missed playoffs with Cousins last year. They probably would've missed playoffs this year too with Cousins. Cousins is the anti-winner. If he's elite, how come he never went anywhere with the Kings? He had complementary talent like Isaiah Thomas, Rudy Gay, and Rondo. Could never win with any of them. If Cousins played in this series, we would've swept.

the beauty of this post is that we will never know what wouldve happened if Boogie was on the floor this season. The Pelicans had a lot to figure out last season and it was really tough integrating Boogie on the fly. This year we started shaky but then in January we starting putting things together.
We had a top offense and an average to below average defense because Boogie slowed down the pace. When Boogie got hurt, our offense dropped to average/below average and our defense jumped into the upper tier in the league.

simply different styles. and because this is an all-star driven league and Boogie and AD are close, the Pelicans will resign him the second they can

and its a such common misconception that he's an anti-winner or toxic in the lock room. He didn't win in SAC because the ownership is terrible, and in this league, you can't win when your 4 or 5 is your best player. Boogie's biggest issue is that he commits a lot of TO's and takes a lot of shots. It's similar to Russell Westbrook. The goal for him is to continue to learn to play in control. He started to do that about 10ish games before his injury.

Trade Boogie for a couple good players to increase your depth. There's gotta be a sucker team out there that would take Cousins. The Magic, maybe?

lol trust me, its not like we haven't had discussions like this on tiger droppings. but the kicker is that the Pelicans want to keep AD happy and in a Pelicans jersey. It's widely agreed that if the Pelicans trade Cousins (a really close friend of AD's), AD would soon be asking out of New Orleans

They might send AD to Boston or Golden State anyway.

You're too short and slow; AD would recover and block you.
I can easily touch rim on a quick jump layup. AD is doubling 20 feet away from the rim. I'd catch the ball next to the rim. You really think that fool would block me? It's a wide open layup.

I've seen Hakeem go from under the basket to blocking a three in like half a second. I'm sure AD could do the reverse. Just jump and extend his long arms. You don't know how short you are.

I'm tall enough to shoot a layup right over the rim in half a second. If you really think Anthony Davis can cover that much ground then you're delusional. Portland might as well never shoot because he'll block everything.

No biggie and no need to apologize. I am familiar with HCP's style of posting that way but haven't interacted with you enough to know how your post was intended. Cup definitely had his issues with people on O-Live. It seems like at times the only posts in there were attacks on him and then him responding back. I have never met Cup in person but he's one of the originals from that forum too so I guess I just know what to expect from his posts. Anyway, I've loved coming to this site everyday since the migration.

Well, there you go stereotyping again. And for the record, what you said didn't hurt my feelings, but felt it was an uncalled attempt again to attack the OLive forum (pretty much like your post I am responding to)and past members. What I noticed when I first signed up here in 2009 and then again just recently s that there are many personal attacks and personal grudges among existing members here. I have found many to be pleasant and enjoy having discussions with just like at Olive. If someone flips me shit then expect reciprocation. Fair enough?
Well there you go misunderstanding again. I never said that I hurt your feelings (it wasn’t my post you originally responded to). I simply responded to your question with (as pointed out) a tongue in cheek answer because I thought said question was over the top. I’m really not sure why you feel ill treated by this board, especially after years of navigating OLive. And as I tried to point out, this board is a liberal’s wet dream of a “safe space” compared to where you guys came from. If you survived having your feathers ruffled there, then what’s the problem here? I’m not looking for conflict, but if you don’t like being lumped into what you feel is an unfair category, then please extend the SC2 folks the same courtesy. You made a generalization and I responded in kind. Shame on both of us.

This entire conversation should be in green font. Cannot believe i actually read this on a Blazer Forum.

Good thing the last part of that rule wasn't about sex with Mrs HCP, otherwise you would never be able to post.

Ok, sorry, didn't know Davis could jump from the 3pt line and block a shot at the backboard. He should start trying to score 3 pointers off of dunks by jumping from the 3pt line. Since apparently, he's that athletic.

Bro I'm glad you said something. I'm glad somebody other than The HCP could not believe they actually felt that way and typed about it. Wow.
You and your 5-inch vertical shouldn't feel any type of way..

One thing I learned today: there are never open layups in the NBA, and if there were, apparently I can't make them.

Well there are indeed open layups in the NBA. Problem is you are not in the NBA and no you can't make them.
You really need to find the green font button bro.

So are you sarcastically saying I can't make a layup? Or are you being serious? Quit playin.

i am sarcastically saying i can't find the green font.....
I'm pretty sure you can make at least half your layups.....

You've lost me.

He is saying he thinks you are ful of shit. Of what though I dont know, because I lost track of what the original question was being disputed.

If it was that AD could defend you on the 3pt line but then recover to block your layup, that would be accurate.
He already did it to a Blazer in Game one. Think it was Turner.

If you think you can blow by AD and he cant recover in time, you DO need green font, my friend, lol.

But like I said, Im not sure what the dispute actually is.

I don't think I'd blow by him at all. The debate is, if I had the ball next to the rim, and AD was at the 3pt lime at the time, he wouldn't block me. If I had the ball next to the rim, and he was within the 3pt line recovering to the backboard he would. But not if he was AT the 3pt.

Yeah. No, the dudes awesome, but he doesn't own a cape and he isn't flash.

Thats what I'm saying. I can shoot that layup in half a second. Dude aint covering that much ground in half a second lmao. If he could he'd average triple double with 20 blocks.

I do believe he is amusing himself at your expense.
I figure he is, I just don't see his angle for amusement. If contradicting himself is amusing to himself, then he can have his fun.
