I actually just rewatched that the other night.. Idk why, it was as bad as it was the first time.. Ohhhh, Jessica Alba, that's why.

Pelicans up 25 after the 1st quarter, that game is already over

The guy killing Portland has been Valunciunas. He's averaged 25 & 11 in the Pels last 3 wins with a TS mark of 71%

I'm watching the games and he's getting a ton of his points off the CJ/Valanciunas pick and roll. CJ in the primary ball handler role has been really effective.

I thought zach was going to be good. He's onky played on 30 games since 2019....yikes.

Why are so many of you so bad at spelling "Josh Hart"??? Is it the no "e" that's throwing everyone off so much?

They will make the play in....we are just going to have to root for the lakers

Ive always said Valunciunas is better than Nurk. Somebody here wanted my head when I said that

With their win tonight the Pelicans are even with the Lakers. There are two huge games in the next week with the Lakers. I don't know if AD will play so I don't know how much those games will tell us about what might happen if they meet in the play in tourney but regardless... I still don't see the Pelicans getting through both LA teams. I'm also not counting out the Spurs from the play in, they have a chance to beat the Pelicans in both teams' next game and both teams play three teams trying to lose after that, so being just one game apart if the Spurs win they really could do us a favor.

Pelicans are playing good basketball losing their pick is unfortunately a real possibility
It's a real possibility but I don't think it's one that has a high probability. The idea that they'll beat both LA teams in consecutive winner goes home games isn't what I would call likely. It's also still fortunately a real possibility that they won't even make the play in but I don't see that as likely either.

They've found their groove since acquiring CJ. I wouldn't count them out from beating their opponents in the play-in. Lakers have been awful, even with AD.

I didn't count them out, I said it's a real possibility. That being said they haven't had a chance to find any groove, they're playing under .500 ball with CJ but a lot of those games have been without Ingram who I would expect to be back soon. So yeah, no one is counting them out as far as getting the eighth seed goes, I just don't think it's the most likely outcome.

Yep. Pels are 8-9 with CJ.

I’m saying we lose the pick. Just our luck.
Luck isn't real. So I say that there's a chance that we lose the pick but a better chance that it conveys to us. That's our reality. I'm hoping if we lose it that Cronin is out as a GM candidate and we hire someone within a couple of weeks. I also hope that we really go all in this off season if we lose the Pelicans pick by doing whatever small thing it takes to get rid of the conditions on our pick going to the Bulls next year, so we have up to four future first rounders available to deal (our '25, '27 and '29 and the Bucks '25).

San Antonio wins in New Orleans and is now one game behind the Lakers and the pelicans in the win column.

the Blazers play New Orleans and San Antonio twice more each this season.

Edit: the Pelicans host the Lakers tomorrow afternoon and play the Lakers in LA again on April 1. The Pelicans are 1-0 against the Lakers this season.
New Orleans lost the season series to the Spurs 1-3.
