OT Pence Announces Spaceforce

Welcome to our community

Count me amongst them. I met Maris and his wife a couple of years ago. I took them out to a beautiful beach and we shared oysters afterwards. They were really good people, but I can't reconcile his online persona to his real life persona to this day. I honestly don't get it.

Good time, we both appreciated your wonderful hospitality, your knowledge/tour of the area, and look forward to returning the favor when you're in our neighborhood.

People often seem to "read between the lines" of my posts, and that's where the misinterpretation comes from I think.

Because there's nothing between the lines. I mean what I post and I don't imply, infer, or hint that I mean something more extreme or different than what I post.

When I post illegal aliens (a very specific term with a very specific meaning) they read "minorities" or "immigrants" which have very different, even opposite meanings.

To my knowledge I've never posted anything racist, homophobic, misogynistic...nor am I any of those things, yet I have been accused of them continually here, even by a mod. I don't hate anybody, and my family includes several races, immigrants, foreigners, handicapped, a variety of sexual orientations and yes, even women.

I like to post here on the OT because it's my only outlet to share political news and views with a variety of people. I stopped talking politics entirely with most friends, coworkers and on Facebook because few can keep things from getting personal and no views are worth losing friends over. I post mostly to hear opposing views and see perhaps some evidence disproving my view if it exists. Until a couple years ago, that's how people talked about and learned about politics. Now, few bring anything to the table other than insults and disinformation, or simply unsupported denials.

I've met around 25 posters from here and you all seem like regular people in person, but a few political posters definitely come across differently (polar opposite in one case) in here when they post.

I guess that's the case with me. :dunno:

Here's a hint, try listening to all the negative criticism in here. The overwhelming content of it ought to be a wake up call. If the feedback were rarely negative you could surmise that perhaps nothing is amiss. However when there is a preponderance of negative feedback, you should realize that there is a high probability that something is amiss.

I think there is definitely something amiss. Well, that's one opinion.

If it makes you feel any better, he called me a racist the other day, then posted some shit about "spooks".

Maybe too much gin in the dog bowl, if you know what I mean. :tsktsk:
To use your little vignette about too much gin, was he drinking too much alcohol when he complimented your personality?

Did you know bestiality is legal in Canada, as long as there is no penetration?

Socialism.
How would a normal person know about this?
