Whenever a "Travis vs..." thread is started, the overwhelming majority of this forum will pick the other guy. Howard, Cunningham, etc. It could be "Travis vs LeBron," and everyone would pick LeBron. Ridiculous.

You are funny. You should be on a tv show saying funny things.

the correct answer to this poll (which is the correct answer to all Blazer power forward related polls) is DeJuan Blair.

I like Pendergraph...

he is not afraid to bang bodies...

he rebounds...

blocked some nice shots...

has some offfensive skills and so far...hasn't tried to step beyond what he does best...showed a nice midrange jumper last night BTW...

What else do you want in a backup PF?

One is a solid rebounder, defender and a good role player on a good team who can knock down shots and muscle people around.

The other is Travis Outlaw

this and what MM said. I love how people complain "we need a banger for our backup" but you're not going to get any high caliber player who takes LMA's sloppy seconds. Do you want a banger or do you want a tweener?

As long as you don't want to bang a tweener! :ghoti:

Strange poll, considering Travis is a pure SF who has been forced to play PF (and done quite well at it) and Jeff is a pure PF who has no SF skills at all. It will depend on matchups, but I'd expect Travis to play ahead of Jeff whenever feasible. Jeff will be playing some C.

Martell is the one who will be losing considerable PT when Nic and Travis return. At least until we trade Miller.

I don't really see this as relevent. Travis might be back a few weeks before the season ends. I believe it is a contract year. Enough said.

Outlaw and JP can play at the same time, so this question is moot. However, I think a Power Forward should be powerful. Outlaw isn't. JP is.

Very true. Chances are Pendergraph will be playing center for most of the rest of this year, anyhow.

this poll and results so far are a joke right?
Outlaw>>>>>>JP, and its not even close.

I did pose the question for the poll "who should be our back up pf?" But yeah, TrOut is a good back up SF.

just to be clear, you think Jeff Pendergraph is not even close to Travis Outlaw as a back up Power Forward?:sherlock:

Pendergraph FTW!

He brings that nastiness we haven't had since Dale Davis. His game was made for the NBA. I can see him being starters material down the road. Though, that wont happen in Portland but it'll sure be nice to have him coming off the bench playing 25+ min. backing up both LMA and Greg. At 6'10" 250 lbs. with this athletic ability, I like his potential.

Is everyone forgetting that Travis almost never played SF anymore before he got injured?

With our second unit going small T-Law and JP can work. In fact, I think our bench will be a beast when everyone gets healthy.

PG: Bayless
SG: Rudy
SF: Batum (or Webs)
PF: Outlaw
C: Pendergraph

This unit is made for the SSOL tempo.
