Pendergraph reminds me of.............

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Start 'em off with a dozen Raspberry Habanero, then two dozen of the weekly special, then El Hefe the rest of the way. Unlimited beers allowed.

I've never had the stones to get six El Hefe wings. I think about it every time, but just can't bring myself to do it.

I just meant his style of play was like Brian's. I don't think he'll contribute like BG, just bang like 'em!
I thought that was clear. I mean, you're not crazy...well, not that crazy....well....your avatar is freaking me out man!

He's the next Lamond Murray. Not opinion, fact. If you can't see that, I can't help you.

He's really more like Shaq, only a lot shorter and a hundred pounds lighter. And with a jump shot.

Reminds me of Shawn Kemp, before the drugs, after the great years, before the fatness, and after gifting $25 million back to the Blazers and their ingrate fans. With a wee bit of John Havlicek thrown into the recipe. Bring to a boil and strain.

Haha.

I guess I am going to go against the grain and say that I am not terribly confident will even be a starter-level player in the NBA... let alone a borderline all-star like Brian Grant was.

I definitely hope that he surprises me.

Ed O.

Borderline All-Star? I dunno Ed. Karl Malone, Chris Webber, Kevin Garnett, Antonio McDyess, Tim Duncan were the premier PF's in the West. Even Abdur-Rahim (20/10 guy back then), Antoine Jamison, & a young guy in Dallas named Dirk were more "All Star" than Brian Grant. The "Rosta Monta" was a really good role player. About 12/8 guy who did the dirty work and didn't care about how many shots he got, or how often he got the ball. JP may never be as good of a supporting cast type guy as BG was, but I don't think it's out of the question to compare the two by any means.

I think people get hung up on where a guy was drafted sometimes (Maybe not you Ed) Sure, we got JP in the 2nd round - doesn't mean he can't play. Maybe he slipped because he doesn't have much upside. He will not score much in this league - that we know for sure. It's rare that you see a guy who just wants to play defense, rebound, and bang a little bit. I'm sure there are plenty of guys who could, but they see themselves as being better than that. It appears JP has a pretty good feel for what he can/can't do out there. I haven't seen him take a bad shot yet, or try to put the ball on the floor - he plays within his limits. I think he's the b/u PF we've been waiting for - lunch pail guy who's good enough, but not so good that he "needs" to start or touch the ball a whole lot.

He'll dunk in your face, IN YOUR FACE!

Wow that below the knee, knee pad reminds me of the one Dutch Savage used to wear on Portland Wrestling.

Dutch Savage, wow I haven't heard that since watching Portland Wrestling a long time ago.
WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!!!

Remember the Dutch Savage and Bull Ramois belt death matches?

Anyone remember the flying canadian? Sheldon I think?

 I remember the "Apache strap matches" and the "coal miners glove matches."

:sigh: Back in those days, pro wrasslin was fun.

He reminds me a bit of Rick Mahorn, or maybe more like The Atomic Dog

He reminds me of Dante Cunningham.

One good game and posters start thinking he is the answer.

Just a matter of time before posters are naming their screen name after him and demandng he gets more time. Until he comes down to earth . . . then he is back down to Cunningham status. :D

Very true. One or two good games, and all the sudden Bayless was good enough that some fans felt the team could trade away Rudy, or Webster and Blake.

I really like Bayless, but it's not like he followed up game against the Spurs with great shooting stats.

But fans (not just of the Blazers) love to pump up a player after a few games, as though it's the base line for that player. It's kind of funny to watch from an outsider perspective, I'm sure.

Realistically, he's a more athletic/tougher Oberto.

Which isn't a bad thing at all.

SO did you tell Ricey your knowledge bomb? I heard him mention it late in the 1st qt.

He has hops like Tyson Chandler. He reminded me a lot of Chandler especially in college the way him and Harden played off each other. But he has a lot higher bball IQ then Chandler.
