Former Portland big man Jeff Pendergraph is expected to sign a two-year, guaranteed deal in Indiana, according to a source.

I thought he was a lock to re-sign in Portland by Friday.

Reggie Evans?

ugh....

Maybe he was our target but didn't offer a second year.

And then this guy stepped in for the Pacers:

With Hansbrough and Pendergraph, the Pacers are sure to lead the league in insane this season.

I imagine there will be some pretty intense practrices in Indy this year with Psycho T and Lil' Bit going head to head. Hansbrough wins easily on talent, which will only piss off Perndergraph all the more.

I like Pendy. I think he'll do a good job for the Pacers.

To be quite honest if we are counting on pendergraph, pryz, evans or Chris Johnson for help, it's already time to look at college lottery big men

Great post! ha ha!
I hope Jeff kicks some ass. Great guy.

out of those? Troy. Easily. He would be great for us. And I'm not just saying that b/c I have a fetish for 6'11 3pt shooters who are deadly from Nate's Corner Three Area.

I am surprised he is only 31. Why did he not play much last year? I know he was traded, but was he hurt? The dude averged double figures in rebounds the 2 years before. If he can still move I would take him too. He brings toughness for sure.

Good for him! I was hoping he would land with us though!

He had a variety of injuries that slowed the start to his year, but it was mainly a personality conflict with his coach that kept him off the court. It was painful, as someone who held onto him in his fantasy leagye and kept expecting him to start putting up double-doubles for the crappy Nets.

Re: Pendergraph... good for him.

What a waste of a draft pick for the Blazers.

why is pendergraph such a big deal? weak defender, cant shoot, and is below avg free throw shooter

who cares. we have chris johnson for that.

Glad to see we didn't give Pendy a second guaranteed year. He was horrible that rookie year for the Blazers when we had no choice but to play him a few minutes before getting Camby. I can't remember a worse Blazer getting meaningful minutes. Good riddance. Hey if he wants to come back to talking ball or to help with pre-game warmups I'm fine with that.

Troy Murphy would be a great add for our bench, totally forgot about him. Him or Evans should be in the mini-MLE range I'd think. I actually haven't heard any free agent interest in Landry either. I thought he'd get a bit more then max full MLE but heck nobody seems to be making offers. That would be a dream scenario if he somehow signed with us then we added a Pryz type defensive rebounding big at the vet minimum for the final roster spot.

What was so horrible? He was a lot better rookie than Babbitt or Josh McRoberts. The latter did alright as a Pacer after we let him go.
