Pens threw 22 SOG in the first period, and they are coasting against a tired Ranger team
In the 2nd period, Rangers down 3-1.

And that's why I cannot stand Crosby & his BS. Kneeing Grabner.................real class! SOB

Offensively challenged right now. They miss a Yandle type dman badly.

No they don't. You and the no defense piece of shit Yandle. They miss three of their most creative forwards in Nash, Buchnevich and Zibanejad. Yandle was a piece of crap in his own zone.

He was not great in his own zone (similar to most high end puck moving defenseman), but this team absolutely misses a guy on the blue line who can do more than just make the basic first pass. A defenseman with some offensive creativity and puck carrying ability has a ripple effect and gives the forwards more room to operate. 4 of the 6 guys back there right now are lucky to connect on a 2 line pass and that is a hole on this team.

Missing those 3 is obvious but that's when not having a puck mover is even more critical as Prod said to create space.

Yeah, this defense is fine. March of the Wooden Soldiers.

Move schmuckerello for some decent d. Even if the rangers are missing top three guys still can't beat this team with garbage we have on d.

Nice to see the chewing cow has made defensive adjustments against this pens team.

Rangers can't beat Pitt without all their forwards healthy for starters. Second, they need a more physical defense which AV refuses to build and absolute wouldn't play.

^^^^Playing the Pens, Flyers, Blue Jackets, Capitals, Canadiens in the East, the Rangers
need a healthy team. All hands on deck.........if not, the team struggles. Would love to see more grit.
