The pitch was inside but the batter made no attempt to get out of the way and looked to dip the elbow. Not to mention if he's not wearing the elbow armor he's not going that. I think is was cheap crap.

Tough way to lose the perfect game but when your throwing 98 and 99 why the hell do you shake off your catcher calling for another and throw the slider. Tibata did lean in and drop the elbow to get hit with his stupid elbow guard which was bush but no ump is ever calling that. Be willing to bet if tabata in lineup tmo he gets drilled in the ribs with a fastball and maybe told now you actually deserve first base

He deserves to get hit in the ribs with a fastball after that nonsense. I do agree it was a strange pitch in that situation but after 26 straight retired what can you say.
