He's old, dude. Cut him some slack. Let's see what you're doing when you're his age, whether you're being PERFECT managing YOUR NBA team. Everyone's a critic.
(Also, when you're managing your NBA team, can I have a job? Thanks!)
I dont want that arrogant piece of shit as our coach!
Fuck the Lakers!
Yes, Phil has a great track record of only coaching the best players in the league. He just said he won't stay with the Lackers if they don't win a title. Talk about a front runner. He's good at picking his spots, so if he picks the Blazers I guess that would be a good sign.I hate this guy for his arrogance, but his track record has been stellar. I would love to see what he can do with this loaded roster. I'd be okay with PA throwin $$$ at the guy for a shot at the title.
Nate can't even make a substitution, when he sees a 10 - 15 point swing happening in a playoff game.
Jackson is famous for not even calling a timeout when the opposing team is making a run.
dang beat me to it. agreed though, Phil Jackson is big on having his teams play through it.
Yea but is that a weakness, or is that part of his coaching philosophy in order to make players be more accountable on the court? Rick Adelman is the same way. By not calling the timeout you force the players to toughen up and play through a rough situation. This in turn makes the players more confident to play through adversity, and saves timeouts for the critical parts of the end game.

I agree...I don't think it is a weakness. Just as I don't think it is a weakness that McMillan doesn't necessarily make a substitution when the other team goes on a run. You make a substitution when there is a particular reason to change personnel...not because you just want to "shake things up" and hope randomness turns things around.
It wasn't that long ago that Pau Gasol was viewed much in the same way as Aldridge.
I might be wrong, and maybe Huevon or Mamba can chime in here, but I think with a lot of the posting Laker fan base, they still view Gasol as soft.
No we don't, because he defended Dwight Howard well in the Finals (biggest reason) and had a great title run.
After 2008 yeah we did think that to a degree though. But Pau lives in the paint now and took care of his business in the post-season.
Bynum is soft because of his injuries though.
maybe I'm thinking of some over-emotional posters at Lakersground then sorry lol.
Yeah some people tried to blame Pau for our struggles against OKC, that couldn't be further from the truth. Our perimeter players are the ones showing their age and also banged up.
