Morey says no go on Maxey. Is he actually a PG or a high functioning combo guard who can initiate, run the offense, defend ... as well as his strong shooting? I don't know.
But apparently Maxey is -- practically speaking -- untouchable.

Portland has Scoot, Ant and Sharpe ... so a front court improvement seems the most logical approach.
And to those who say that Portland isn't about winning right now -- that it's about talent acqusisition not fit -- I understand that idea. But it's Damian Frickin' Lillard and the LEAST a team getting him should do is fork over ACTUAL starting-quality-front-court-players with promise NOT what they could do in 2 years from 2 years!
