I didnt hear woj on ESPN, personally.

Obviously any team can be interested in whomever they want, it takes 2. But, I havent posted in a while, so figured I'd post it for discussion. As if we havent discussed CJ trades enough.

I dont know if philly has anything outside of embiid that would interest me. Simmons is trash and cant shot, that would make it a lot more difficult for dame in the Playoffs

Dame will be 30 next season. We can’t waste another year on the failed Dame/CJ combo. CJ just makes way too much money for what he does, which has continually hampered the franchise’s ability to build a quality roster around Dame. We need to get what we can for CJ before his value tanks, and start Simons immediately to prepare to make a run next year. A Dame-Simons-Simmons-Love-Nurk lineup sounds pretty good to me.

I love the thought of nurk and Horford's passing on the floor. The trade as proposed is bad for us. I wouldnt mind grabbing Richardson in the deal as well. But then for 2 teams with eyes on competing, it starts to get a little big.

Also, in adding Horford, and nurk coming back, could be leading to a potential whiteside deal?

If we could move Whiteside for a wing, that would be one thing, but I just don't know.... Horford is 33. I don't think it's a great deal.

I don't think they want to give up Simmons; how about harris?
I would make that trade for Harris in a heartbeat. He’s a better defender than CJ, plays at a position of need, and will help to expedite Simons’ development. No brainer, IMO.

Would love to get Horford and Harris if possible for Hassan and CJ.

They probably want to send us garbage\meh draft picks in return.

Maybe Richardson and Matisse Thybulle... but that doesn't get us to uncharted territories either.

I'm not interested in Horford at all. That's a bad contract considering his age, I thought so from the beginning. He's bad fit with Embiid, let Philly swallow that pill.

I'd be interested in Harris and Richardson though. Harris is bad contract as well but at least he offers something different to what we already have and is super versatile. Richardson has a great contract, is a good defender and offers something on offense but I would need extra assets to make that deal. I'm not sure Philly would entertain that though with CJ having inflated contract as well.

Don't make drastic win now moves this year. Dame and CJ are on long term deals and aren't flight risks. It really freaking blows but this season and the injuries have been par for the course for this franchise (we always have this bad fortune after playoff success). So this fanbase should provide no pressure to make shortsighted trades.

Just don't run Dame into the ground in hopes of an 8th seed, and re-tool for next year using the HW/Baze contracts. I want a valuable contributor on a longer term deal for at least one of those two. And seriously evaluate coaching-- eating Terry's deal should be palatable if we get a viable replacement.

Managing our expectations makes this season somewhat tolerable.

Not for CJ but I kinda like buying low on Zhaire Smith and Jonah Bolden who aren't really a part of the 76ers rotation.

I was trying to figure out a 3rd team to send Horford to, even though it was a fake rumor it's still fun to talk about.

If Indiana gave us Myles Turner and Jeremy Lamb (maybe a pick too) so we got those two and Zhaire and picks would that be more interesting? They could probably flip Turner for a wing too.
